Activity (1): to identify that the sound intensity increases when the area of

Tools :
Tuning fork , hollow box

Steps :
Tap one end of the tuning fork
Put the tuning fork in the hollow box .

Observation :
The sound will be strong when we put the fork in the box .

Conclusion :
The sound intensity increases by increasing the area of vibration .

glass prism

Steps :
put the glass prims in front of the sunlight .

Observation :
seven spectrum colors are formed .
the red light will be near to the apex ( top ) and the violet is near to the base

Conclusion :
the red has lowest energy and the violet has highest energy .
Activity (3) : to identify the effect of the medium density on sound intensity .

Tools : air vacuum pump , glass jar , sound source .

Steps :

Ring the clock and put it in the vacuum pump

Pump out the air

Observation :
The sound intensity decreases when we pump out the air .

Conclusion :
Sound intensity decreases when the medium density decreases .
