Introduction
There's nowhere quite like Britain, from stunning cities to the lush countryside and history where
myths and tales clash.
Take this journey to taste the history of Britain; you can feel it as you walk the decorated halls of
stately homes and draft the footsteps of clans and kings in Edinburgh.
Start from the centre of the British Empire, the multicultural London, enjoy the little town of York,
end in legendary Scotland!

London in a day
Start the day with an early entry to Westminster Abbey so that you can visit this masterpiece of
Gothic architecture before the crowds arrive. With your guide, you'll learn about the abbey's long
history, which includes royal weddings, coronations, and illustrious funerals. Then, you'll walk
across St. James's Park to Wellington Barracks near Buckingham Palace, where you can see the
new guard getting ready to exchange duty with the old guard. You'll also get to see a smaller
ceremony, which is less famous but equally fascinating: the changing of the Queen's Life Guard.
Next, you'll head to Trafalgar Square to learn about British naval history under the watchful eye of
Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson. There are also some hidden gems to discover around the square,
including a world record holder. After a break for lunch, the tour continues with a scenic cruise
down the River Thames up to the Tower of London. Here, your skip-the-line ticket takes you past
the crowds and inside to see the incredible collection of precious gems that make up the Crown
Jewels. You'll also learn all about the secrets and stories that make this place so fascinating.

The tours overall were very good. Receiving information of the details
for the trip fell below the bar though. That would improve as now these
are all getting organized after a 2 year Covid shutdown. Our stay in
London in The Lexham Gardens is also highly recommended. Great
location to many restaurants and transportation. Very
accommodating and helpful managers. Over and above regular
expectations. A very special Thank you to them all at London Lodge
Hotel. The bus tour to the Roman baths, Stonehenge and Windsor
castle changing of the guards, fantastic and a must do! Well
organized, great informative, patient. Perhaps Bruce’s negative
comments regarding American citizens should be eliminated.
Offensive. The train from London took a bit to navigate as it was our
first Europe train experience. After the first time we became
accustomed and breezed through many other train trips. The walking
with the historian in York was absolutely magnificent and highly
recommended. The Paris walking ...
