• Random samples of received material compared to approved color chip.
• Paint mill thickness checked on material samples with elcometer.
• All activities documented with digital photos and / or videos.

Cutting & Part Fabrication

• Verify part lengths to be within 1/32” & square. 1/64” under cut preferred to
prevent dimensional growth during install.
• Verify screw spline hole layout for proper opening sizes.
• Check for damages / defects in painted surfaces. Rejected materials can be used
in hidden non-visible locations.
• Discrepancies documented w/ photos and submitted in writing to PM & GC

drawings.
• Verify end dams are installed & sealed properly at head & sill receptor jambs.
• Verify head & sill receptors are clearly marked for ease of ID & installation.
• Verify anti-buckling clips are installed and crimped in place in the mullion half.
• Verify frames requiring steel reinforcement are properly equipped according to
shop drawings.
• Confirm frames are built in sequence of installation plan.
• Verify foam baffle plugs are installed at ends of horizontals prior to assembly.
• Verify sealant applied to horizontal ends is continuous without voids and matches
in color as close as possible to prevent unsightly stains or joints.
• Verify excess sealant is removed / cleaned from vision areas and tooled properly
on the backside of extrusions.

• Verify Frames are checked for square, proper opening sizes / layout and
alignment horizontals to verticals.
• Verify 2” – 3” of silicone is applied in reglets at each corner with gaskets slid into
wet sealant. Excess sealant pushed out is to be tooled around the corners.
• Verify head & sill chicken head notch sizes & dry fit with head anchor / sill cut off.
Glazing Line
• Setting chairs / setting blocks are to be installed temporarily to set the glass.
• Verify frames are secured on wood bucks and checked for square.
• Verify glass is centered properly on the frame prior to sealing.
• Verify two-part silicone testing has been completed and test logs filled out prior to
sealing units. (butterfly & snap tests)
• Verify Dowsil primer Cos has been applied properly using a UV flashlight and
had adequate time to flash / dry. (20-30 minutes)
• Verify structural silicone is applied continuous all four sides of IGU removing the
setting chairs / blocks to shoot the sill then re-installing them once tooled but
before cured.
• Special attention must be given to corner units, ensuring angled mullion halves
do not twist, bow or sag under the weight of the glass. If mullion is not straight
frame swill not engage or seal properly when installed.
• Verify test log numbers are documented on each QC Checklist for those frames
sealed with the same batch.
• Select random units for deglaze inspections. (1 of 1st 10, 2nd of 1st 50 & 1 for
every 100 thereafter) photo & video documentation of inspection / testing.

Trim

fasteners / spacing.
• All rainscreen gaskets are to be cut / installed long to prevent shrinkage and
allow crews to field trim for overlapping gaskets.
• All rainscreen gaskets are to be installed and secured in place with silicone to
prevent fall out during transport / install.
• Verify Jamb & Corner tubes are secured and sealed properly.

• Verify all frames / units are inspected for missing components / sealant.
• Verify all frames are inspected and damage free prior to packaging.
• Verify method of packaging provides adequate protection between frames / units
to prevent contact, rubbing or damages during transport.
• Verify all units are placed in crates with same orientation / direction for ease of
removal on site.
• Ensure frames are packaged in sequence of installation reversed order in crate.
(as installed: 1,2,3,4,5 as crated: 5,4,3,2,1)
