For the unit feedback control loop with PD controller shown in FIGURE-Q1,

where, 𝜂 is the last two digits of your ID, and 𝛼 is the first two digits of your ID,

and 𝜎 = 2𝛼,

a) Develop the overall transfer function, create a Simulink model and

The steady state error for Kp = 2 and Kd = 0.5 is 0.95

Calculation method

Given overshoot must be of < 5% and rise time < 3 seconds. Damping ratio must be around 0.65 according
to the first graph. From there we can find the rise time at 2.01s.
