(e) Some terminal commands have been added/deleted.
(f) Procedure to update software has been changed to use a special application instead of
TeraTerm.
For the new board, different types of files will be written. (Extension: *.mot)
For updating software, both "*.bin" files for the UD CONT-2002 board and "*.mot" files for
the UD CONT-2002X board will be supplied. Use the file according to the board used.

For details, refer to Section 1.1 Control Board UD CONT-2002X in the corresponding
installation manual.

5. When Replacing the Board on Existing Units

When replacing the UD CONT-2002 board on an existing instrument used at a customer, order the
new UD CONT-2002X board from now on.
Cautions:
 The UD CONT-2002X board cannot be used on the following instruments. Order the UD
CONT-2002 board for them.
 UD150B-40 for Heart Speed-10
 After replacing the board, readjust the tube voltage (adjustment of FVR and FVF).
 Backup data can be transferred to the new board. However, the Flash Volume value is
initialized to 100 (default of the new board) when the system is turned ON for the first time
after board replacement. This occurs due to a difference in the control method. Do not
return the value to the value for the previous board since there is no problem if the Flash
Volume value is at the default of 100. This is the same when a Q stator tube or JG tube is
used.
 Backup data can be used even if the new board is replaced with the previous board for
some reason. In this case, return the Flash Volume value to the value for the previous
board (standard value: approx. 40 to 60) after restoring data. For XTV units, perform flash
calibration as well.
 After replacement between the previous and new boards, TeraTerm serial port settings on
the remote maintenance PC also need to be changed.
 Configure settings referring to the remote maintenance installation manual (for the
DAR-7500, FPD17-R1 installation manual) and confirm that UD logs are correctly
collected.
