SUBJECT: CLASSROOM CLEANLINESS POLICY SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024

We believe that a clean and organized learning environment is essential for promoting a
conducive atmosphere for education and fostering a sense of responsibility among
students. This Classroom Cleanliness Policy outlines the guidelines and responsibilities for
maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in all classrooms within the school premises.

Cleanliness Responsibilities:

1.1. Faculty and Staff: Each classroom's primary responsibility for cleanliness lies with the
respective teachers. Teachers should encourage students to maintain cleanliness and lead
by example by keeping their own areas tidy.

1.2. Students: Students must actively participate in keeping their classrooms clean. They
should dispose of trash properly; arrange desks and chairs neatly; refrain from writing or
drawing; and using any types of tapes on walls or furniture.

1.3. Maintenance Personnel: Maintenance Personnel such as janitors will assist in cleaning
classrooms regularly. However, it is not their sole responsibility to maintain cleanliness;
they should focus on more extensive cleaning tasks.

Waste Disposal:

2.1. Recycling: Everyone must know the importance of recycling. Hence, it is encourage that
students, faculty, and staff shall practice recycling like the use of scratch papers and to
properly dispose recyclable materials in the recycling bins (Red Bins).

2.2. Trash Bins: Adequate trash bins will be provided in every floors for the proper disposal
of non-recyclable waste. It is the responsibility of both students and teachers to ensure that
trash is placed in the correct bins and not left on the floor or desks.

Personal Belongings:

3.1. Personal Responsibility: Students are responsible for their personal belongings and
should keep their desks organized to minimize clutter in the classroom.

3.2. Lost and Found: The Office of the Prefect of Discipline is the in-charged of all "Lost and
Found" items/belongings. Students should check this office if they misplace any belongings.

Consequences for Non-compliance:

4.1. Failure to comply with the Classroom Cleanliness Policy may result to appropriate
disciplinary actions as per the school's existing disciplinary guidelines.

4.2. Vandalism, removal of wall paint due to sticking of tapes, or destruction of any school’s
property shall be charged accordingly.

A clean and organized classroom enhances the overall learning experience for students and
fosters a sense of pride in their school environment. By adhering to this Classroom
Cleanliness Policy, we can collectively create a positive and conducive atmosphere for
everyone at Ateneo de Zamboanga University Senior High School. Let us work together to
maintain the Atenean values and spirit.
