It was a hot Tuesday night. I was about to open my bedroom window when I saw a
slight movement near my neighbour's house.

To my horror, a robber was climbing up the gate. My neighbours were abroad, so

nobody was at home. I quickly ran downstairs to inform my parents who were watching
television.

My father quickly called the police while my mother and I watched over our
neighbour's house. Within minutes, a police car arrived at the scene. Two police officers
came out from the car. The first officer quietly entered my neighbour's house while the
second one hid behind a pillar under the porch.

I felt nervous as I wondered what would happen next. Suddenly, we heard loud shouts
inside the house. A few minutes later, the robber was running out of the house, with the first
officer giving chase. The robber tried to escape but the second officer managed to nab him.

We were relieved that the robber had been caught. The officers praised us for our
quick actions and for being helpful.
