➢ According to the RBI – Digital Payments Index (RBI-DPI), released by RBI, the digitization of
payments across the country has increased to 377.46 in September 2022 from 349.30 in March
2022.
➢ The RBI will launch QCVM (QR Code-based Coin Vending Machine) in collaboration with a few
leading banks to improve the distribution of coins.
➢ The RBI decided to expand the scope of the TReDS (Trade Receivable Discounting System)
platform allowing the use of insurance facilities. Aim: To boost trade of receivables increasing
cash flows to MSMEs.
➢ The RBI has made necessary changes in NEFT and RTGS systems for FCRA (Foreign Contribution

Fiscal deficit:
➢ The fiscal deficit is estimated to be 5.9% of the GDP in FY 2023-24.
➢ Net borrowings to finance the fiscal deficit is estimated to be Rs 11.8 lakh crore.
Capital investment:
➢ The capital investment outlay increased for the third year in a row by 33% to ₹10 lakh crore. This
accounts for 3.3% of the GDP.
Agriculture:
➢ Agriculture credit target would be raised to ₹20 lakh crore with a focus on animal husbandry and
fisheries.
Credit Guarantee:
➢ The scheme for MSMEs has been revamped with an infusion of ₹9,000 crore in the corpus. It will be
enforced from April 1, 2023. This would enable an additional collateral-free guaranteed credit of Rs
2 lakh crore.
