On each side panel, cut a groove using a router with

a 15/64 mortising bit (or bit size closest to match the

diameter of the 5 mm shelf pins). The depth of the

groove should be roughly 3/8 to match the 5 mm

shelf pin. Be sure to stop 1/4-inch from the front

edge of the panel.

Assemble Ts Secure bottom supports (“drill (horz-left)” and “drill
(horz-right)”) to side panels using glue and 1-1/2"
screws (after making countersink pilot holes).
Assemble four Ts using glue and

1-1/2" screws (after making

countersink pilot holes).

Tip:Use a dab of CA glue and activator to

temporarily secure the Ts while you
assemble them.

screw placement. Note that the upper middle shelf is not as deep as the

others and should be flush with the front of the cabinet (the
space at the back is to accommodate the French cleat).

Assemble four Ts to bottom panel

using glue and 1-1/2" screws (after
making countersink pilot holes).
False front for battery chargers

Secure “false front supports” to top and bottom of the

middle section of the cabinet. Set them 5 inches back

from the front edge of the cabinet. Secure using glue and
1-1/4" screws (after making countersink pilot holes).

Mount your chargers to the false front using 1" screws.

panel using a 1-1/4 Forstnerbit to allow
for the power bar wiring. Tip: test the fit of the panel. If too tight, shave 1/16thoff the
top and one side of the panel.

Drill a countersink pilot hole in the four corners. Mount

false front to false front supports using 1-1/4" screws.
Pull-out tray Quick bit access block

Drill a hole into each side of the pull-out tray using a 5 mm

bit, roughly 3/8 deep (deep enough to fit a shelf pin). The

hole should be centered 3/4-inch from the back side of the

Drill 3 or 4 holes angled downwards (so
tray on each side. the tips of the bits will be angled
upwards) into the pine block using a
19/64 drill bit.
Glue and clamp to cabinet inside the left
drill cubby.

Tip: Now that the cabinet is assembled, test the

fit of the tray with the shelf pins and ensure it

slides smoothly. Then secure the shelf pins to

the pull-out tray and the side panels using CA

glue and activator.

Tip: Make sure the pull-out tray is installed

before mounting the cabinet on the wall.
French cleat

Using a table saw, set the blade to 45 degrees and rip the

French cleat in half down the middle.

Secure one part to the back of the cabinet using glue and 1-
1/2" screws (countersink first).
Mount the other part to the wall using appropriate hardware
(mount to studs or use Tapconscrews for masonry walls).

Cabinet

Wall

Tip: Cut 1/2-inch off the end of the bottom cleat before
installing on the wall (cut to roughly 18-1/2 inches
long) to make mounting the cabinet easier.
Pull-out tray front

After mounting the cabinet on the wall, install the front

and drawer pull for the pull-out tray.

Drill pilot holes 7/8" from the bottom of the drawer

front, spaced on center (to match the spacing of your
drawer pull).

Mount the drawer pull to the face using 1-1/2" screws

(this will also secure the front to the pull-out tray).
