Conceptual question 1

From the scenario we can see that Bangladesh has considered to implement sustainable
development for the year 2030.I believe as a marketer we should consider SDG at the time of
formulating a marketing strategy. Two major arguments behind it are explained below:

1) Bangladesh government want to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. For
this reason, marketers need to think about their products which produce less waste and
environmental friendly. So, the marketers need to consider SDG at the time of formulating a
marketing strategy.

2)One of the SDG goals of Bangladesh is to achieve gender equality and empower women. So as
a marketer we should formulate strategies in such a way that everyone gets equal opportunity in
the company .

Conceptual question 2

Marketing satisfy needs. Two major arguments behind it are explained below:

1)In most cases there are lots of needs or problems within the market. It is marketers’ jobs to
identify those needs and come up with a solution. Those solutions satisfy customer needs.

2)Sometimes there are problems customers are not aware of. In that time marketers try to make
customer aware of problems. During that time those problems become a need and customers
want marketers to satisfy those needs.

Therefore, it can be said that marketing satisfies needs. they don’t create the needs.
Case Question 3

3 specific segments that I will use to segment Mediker safelife Veggie Wash in dhaka city is
given below:

1)Benefit Segmentation: Mediker safelife veggie wash is used mainly for washing vegetables
and it ensures safety in cleaning fruits or vegetables. It is providing benefit for a customer.

2)Demographic segmentation -From the scenario we can see that the products is cheap that is
6tk for a family of 5 members for per wash of vegetables. The cost is only 10 tk for 250 ml
bottle has been set. Considering middle class income people, I will segment this product.

3)Geographic segmentation-For segmenting market I will choose geographic segmentation that


is for only Dhaka city.

Case Question Answer 4

My target segment will be the educated middle-class people which falls under demographic
segmentation. Educated people knows hygiene has become a topmost priority during corona
virus time. Besides wearing masks ,hand sanitizing our hands and washing vegetable and fruits
also has become equally important. Middle class educated people can afford the product easily. I
believe this product will be famous among this group
