1. Discovery of Elecetricity :-
In 1752, to prove that lightning was electrical,
Benjamin Franklin flew a kite during a
thunderstorm. He tied a metal key onto the string
and, as he suspected it would, electricity from
the storm clouds flowed down the string, which
was wet, and he received an electrical shock.

3. Some measures to conserve
electricity:-

1. The following are some steps we can take to

save electricity in our homes:•Switch off all
unnecessary lights.

•Turn off fans when they aren't needed.

•Make use of natural light whenever possible.

•Make the best use of solar radiation.

•Unplug any unused electronics.

2. The following are some steps we can take to
save electricity in our schools:-
•Take advantage of natural sunlight.

•Switch to LED Lightbulbs.

•Invest in energy-saving power strips.

•Change Televisions to LCD screens or Smart Projectors.

•Invest in Better Cooling Options.

•Encourage Students to Recycle

4. Introduction of Solar Panels:-

A solar panel is a device that converts sunlight into electricity by using
Photovoltaic (PV) cells. PV cells are made of materials that generate
electrons when exposed to light. The electrons flow through a
circuit and produce direct current (DC) electricity, which can be
used to power various devices or be stored in batteries. Solar panels
are also known as solar cell panels, solar electric panels, or PV
modules.
