Museum Assistant & 2023 Summer Student
- Completed research & image finding for agriculture panel, S.S Iroquois panel, marine
transport panel, and the James Island panel.
- All text and images for the Iroqoouis, agriculture, and marine transport panels have been
sent to peninsula signs, James Island information still in the editing process.
Display Creation
- Created artifact of the month for July as well as interpretive panels for the BC ferries
display.
- Completed research, image selection, panel creation, lighting, and physical layout of the
new longhouse display.
Collections Management
- Completed full inventory of the objects currently on permanent display upstairs, added
images & locations to the associated digital entries.
- Condensed & combined many duplicate profiles on catalogit (e.g. same thing under two
different titles - John Doe VS Doe, John / Sidney VS Sidney B.C.)
- Completed Full inventory of boxes 1-114 to ensure physical location of boxes matches
digital locations.
- Applied new standardized box labels & QR codes to all numbered boxes.
- Cleaned & emptied MPR for renovations, Disassembled & Reassembled Cabinets into
their new locations. Sealed edge of new countertop.
- Prepped for painting, helped with painting, cleaned & organized after paint dried.
- Re-mounted hooks, fire extinguishers, outlet covers, etc.
- Moved paint cabinet to locker 11 & tool cabinet to foxtrot hallway to unclutter MPR
- Moved new desk into Archives from storage lockers, disposed of old archives desk
