1. Tell me about yourself


 By way of introduction, I am Jannah Leila Espinas,

2. Work experience
 I started as an Audit Staff way back in 2017 at SGV&Co., a member of EY Global Limited
based here in the Philippines. During that time, I’ve handled clients focused on
manufacturing and sales of audio-visual products and automotive electronics.
 In 2019, I was then transferred to EY Global Delivery Services and promoted to Senior
Associate. At GDS, we are mainly responsible in assisting and delivering strategic audit
support to EY border teams and clients. During this time, I’ve handles various industries,
mostly Real Estate and Retail and Distribution. As a Senior Associate, I am responsible
for communicating assigned tasks to Junior Associates and performing detailed and
quality control review of audit work/deliverables, review of audit working papers and
financial statements. I am also responsible for identifying and communicating issues
raised and offering solutions in a timely manner.
 And currently, I am working as a State Auditing Examiner at Commission on Audit and
part of the Public, Transport and Energy audit group. We are mainly focused on the
review of the public spending of the state legislature and review of Annual Audit
Reports and preparation of Consolidated Management Report

8. Tell me about a time when you overcame a challenge in your previous job. How did you go
about it?/How would you deal with a difficult client whilst working for EY?

 It would first of all be important for me to remember I am representing a professional


and value-centric global organization who has a brilliant reputation.
 On that basis, throughout my dealing with my previous clients, I would act with
professionalism, honesty and integrity at all times. It would be important for me to
listen to them, get to the bottom of any concerns they may have, and then find a
solution to any issues that were preventing us from moving forward.
 Above all, I would need to take the lead, be confident and resilient in my actions, and
focus purely on the end goal and what it was we were trying to achieve for them.

 I believe I am a very determined person who always push for my goals. Over the years, I
have developed into an employee who can not only work under pressure to constantly
achieve tough targets and projects, but I am also a solid worker who can deal with
various clients and I always ensure the work I do is accurate.
 I will be a good fit for Grant and Thornton because, having studied your organization,
especially in respect of your values, I am someone who will build the right relationships
with your clients; I always do things ethically; I always work energetically as part of a
team to achieve my team’s goals and finally, I definitely step up and take the lead when
a situation requires me to.

 One of my core strengths is my ability to work accurately whilst at pace. I understand it


is important whilst working for an Audit firm to ensure the work you carry out is
accurate and in line with policy and regulations. I can be trusted to work to the required
standards to ensure all tasks are completed on time and to the necessary standards.

15. What are your strengths and what makes you the standout candidate?

 The main strengths I possess are an ability to work either as part of a team, or as an
individual, to complete difficult and challenging tasks professionally and on time.
Because I am a determined and resilient person, I can adapt to any situation and I will
never crumble or lose my focus whilst under pressure.
 Another strength of mine is the fact I will always act with honesty and integrity at all
times. You can rely on me to work to the highest standards achievable whilst also acting
as a positive role model for GT’s brand and values.
 Finally, another strength of mine is the fact that, whilst I feel I am highly experiences, I
never lose sight of how important it is to always learn, develop and grow within your
role at work. I believe that is the only way you can continue to contribute positively to
the team you working as part of.
