➢ The European Union has expanded sanctions against Belarus. New restrictions expand the
ban on the export of a number of goods and technologies that contribute to military-technical
development, introduce an additional ban on the export of firearms and ammunition, as well as
on the technologies for the aviation and space industry.
➢ Today Ukraine has started negotiations with the US regarding the bilateral agreement about
providing security guarantees, which will be in force before joining NATO.
➢ China has confirmed its participation in a meeting on a peace plan for Ukraine, which will be
held in Saudi Arabia. Beijing will be represented by Li Hui, the Special Representative for
Eurasian Affairs, who visited Ukraine in May.
➢ The Bulgarian government has approved an agreement on the transfer of about 100 armored
vehicles to Ukraine. It is about armored personnel carriers, which Bulgaria has never used, but
has spent money on their maintenance and storage for the last 25 years.
➢ Germany published a public part of another military aid package for Ukraine, which has

➢ Lithuania will transfer launchers for NASAMS. It will be included in a new aid package
together with anti-drone systems and other equipment. In the last 7 months, Lithuania has sent
Ukraine Mi-8 helicopters, L-70 anti-aircraft guns with ammunition, M113 armored personnel
carriers, millions of rounds of ammunition, and grenade launcher ammunition.
➢ A summit on Ukraine has started in Saudi Arabia. A two-day meeting is a part of a Ukrainian
diplomatic initiative, aimed at gaining support not only from Western partners but from the Global
South countries as well. The participants of the summit are national security advisors and other
high-ranking officials. According to the Italian edition Corriere della Sera, the participants have
already come to a certain agreement. “All parties of the negotiations on the war in Ukraine
believe that the core of any peace treaty must be respect of territorial integrity and sovereignty of
Ukraine and the rule of the UN Charter” – the edition says. Also, negotiations are being held
regarding the terms of the meeting of heads of states. The newspaper’s sources inform that it
can take place till the end of the year.

Kherson and Kherson Oblast
On July 30, a 33-year-old woman was injured as a result of an attack by Russians on a house in the village of
Novodmytrivka. On the same day, the occupiers attacked Beryslav. A 55-year-old man, who was in the yard of
the house during the shelling, suffered a shrapnel wound in his leg. On July 31, Russians shelled the center of
Kherson and the Korabelny microdistrict from Hrad MLRS, killing four and wounding 17. On August 1, the
Russian forces shelled a hospital in the Kherson community. A doctor died, five more medical workers were
injured. On the night of August 2, Kherson came under artillery fire — two people were injured. Houses, offices
and cars were damaged in the city. On August 3, the occupiers fired at a church in the center of Kherson, injuring
three people in a trolleybus. During the extinguishing of the fire, which arose as a result of shelling of the church,
there was a second attack: four rescuers who were extinguishing the fire were injured. On the same day, the
Russians attacked the central part of Kherson. A volunteer from Norway came under fire and was injured. In the
evening, Kherson was shelled again: a shopping center and a medical facility were targeted. No casualties. On
August 4, the occupiers dropped guided aerial bombs on Odradokamianka. It damaged residential buildings. A
50-year-old man was injured. On the same day, Stanislav was shelled, at least four houses were damaged. A 40-
year-old man was injured. In the evening of the same day, the Russians again dropped explosives from a drone
on Beryslav: they hit the yard of a local resident, he was seriously injured. On the night of August 5, the
occupiers again shelled the Korabelny district of Kherson: they hit houses, and two women were injured. Aerial
bombs were also dropped in the area of the Antonivsky Bridge.
Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast
On the night of July 31, the Russians launched a rocket attack on the Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
On July 31, the Russians launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. A high-rise building was hit, as well as a four-

result of the rocket attack. On the night of July 4, the occupiers shelled Nikopol, an 85-year-old woman and a 35-
year-old man were wounded. More than 20 private houses, two trucks and a car were damaged in the city.
Odesa and Odesa Oblast
On the night of August 2, the Russians attacked the south of Odesa Oblast with Shahed-136 drones launched
from the Sea of Azov across the Black Sea. As a result of the attack, fires broke out at the facilities of the port
and industrial infrastructure of the region, the grain elevator was damaged - almost 40 thousand tons of grain,
which was expected by African countries, China, Israel, were damaged. Port Izmail suffered the greatest
destruction. The sea station and infrastructure of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company, a key Ukrainian
