Changing Altairnano BMU / LMU


Changing Altairnano BMU
 Replace the faulty BMU unit

 Open the Altairnano software


 Connect to BMU

 Open the LMU configuration page

 Choose the modules with batch # 000000 and move them to the end
of the list with move down-button.

 Enable all 24 modules with valid batch and serial numbers by ticking
the enable box .

 Change the Cell group and Temperature values manually for all 24 LMU´s
 Cell groups 10 and Temperature 2

 Save the changes

 Accept the changes by clicking OK.

 Open the current measurement calibration page

 Check the current sensor slope value.


 Should be 0,2775574
 If not correct -> Contact Kalmar
 In some cases firmware must be updated (separate instructions)

 Check the serial number of the new and old LMU units and write them down.

 Serial number is four digits after SN ( In this example 0061).

 Open the Altairnano software


 Connect to BMU

 Open the LMU configuration page

 Find the changed module from the list. Use the serial number
to identify the new LMU.

 Tick the enable box and change the Cell group and
Temperature values ( 10 and 2 )

 Find the old module from the list. Use the serial number to
identify.

 Disable the module ( remove the enable tick )

 Move the new module to the position where the old is.

 Move the old module to the end of the list.

 Save the changes

 Accept the changes by clicking OK.

 NOTE!

 When changing the BMU or LMU to the machine, please take the serial numbers
down from both units ( old and new )

 Serial numbers for BMU and LMU’s are stored in the machine card of the Hybrid
Machine
 To keep the machine card updated you must report the serial numbers of the
swapped units to factory ( product support contact person ).
