Ans: Vijay Singh was a wrestler who took pride in his physical prowess. His primary
flaw was that he was conceited. He desired to converse with a ghost and teach him
a lesson. His frailty forced him into a precarious predicament. He couldn't say no
when he was told to go to the Haunted Deserts to encounter the ghost.

2 Was the old woman's gift to Vijay Singh eccentric? Why?


Ans: The elderly lady had a reputation for being quirky. She placed a little packet
with a lump of salt and an egg in Vijay's hand. It wasn't an outlandish act. Both gifts
came in handy during his battle with the ghost.

3 Why did Vijay Singh ask the ghost disguised as Natwar to come closer?
Ans: Vijay Singh was a professional wrestler. He was curious about the magnitude
of his foe's ghost. As a result, he requested that the spiritual approach him.

Ans: Vijay Singh attempted to appear brave. He declared Natwer to be a false ghost
after looking into his eyes. The ghost was offended, stunned, and dumbfounded.

He picked up another rock the next time and gave it to the ghost to smash. The ghost

meantime, Vijay Singh grabbed the jump of salt from his pocket and crushed it with
ease. He was triumphant again this time.

He was able to outwit the ghost by using the egg and the lump of salt.

7 Why did Vijay Singh conclude that the ghost would not be a worthy opponent
to him? Was he fair in his judgment?

Ans: Vijay Singh lied about his win over the ghost. On both occasions, he offered
the ghost a piece of rock to crush. Vijay Singh, on the other hand, chose a soft target
(the egg and the lump of salt) by using the ghost. In this way, he unfairly exposed
the ghost as a weakling.

8 Why did Vijay Singh ask the ghost to accompany him to town the next day?

Ans: To amaze his people, Vijay Singh planned to bring the ghost to his town. He's
also attempting to imprison the ghost.

9 What made the ghost believe Vijay Singh was dead?

was dead because he didn't hear any groans.

Ans: The story of a ghost and Vijay Singh facing off in a battle of strength is
impossible to believe. Nobody can perceive a ghost dressed as a person. It does not
reside in a cave or a house. The ghost in the story was simply a dacoit who used to
rob and kill travelers for their valuables.
