PROCEDURE:

1. Check the mixer head for cleanliness. If it is not cleaned, thoroughly clean it.
2. Put on the main switch located on the right-bottom side to supply power to the motor.
Put on the switch on the front panel to start the motor (ensure internal/external toggle
knob is in the external position). Put on the main switch located on the top-left side of
the unit to supply power to the temperature controller unit. Put on the switch on the
front panel to start the temperature controller.
3. Check the communication of system with Brabender.
i. Click on “CAN Fig” and enter password and click ok.
ii. Click on hand icon to execute automatic protocol creation.
iii. Wait for the four nodes to scan i.e speed device, controller device, temperature
input device, and torque device and will reflect the parameters.
iv. Close the software.
4. Open “Win Mix” and click on “New test”.
5. Select Flow-curing behaviour of Crosslinking polymers.
6. Select new measurement.
7. Fill up the required details as follows (Here xxxxxxxx can be replaced to any alpha
numeric characters)

Order : Brabender Speed : 50 1/min

Operator : xxxxxxxxxxx Mixer temp. : 180 ᵒC
Date : (Default system date) Meas. Range : 200 Nm
Drive unit : Plastogaph EC plus Start Temp. : 178 ᵒC
PL type : 2000-3 Damping :1
Mixer : W 50 EHT – 3 Zones Test time : 15 min
Loading chute : Manual + 5 kg Sample mass : 45 g

 8. Then click on “start” and wait till the desired temperature is reached then press
“continue”.
9. Weight the materials as follows:
Beaker 1 : sioplas (42 g)
Beaker 2 : Masterbatch + gypsum (3 g)
10. Then press Enter to start or fill the material.

11. Open the piston and fill the material from beaker through hopper. Close the piston and
then the test will start.
12. Save the test after completion of the test.
13. Open the mixture head and take out the mix. Clean the mixture head and take out the
rotors and clean thoroughly.
14. Put off the machine by switching off the switches in the reverse sequence as shown in
clause 2.
