The Challenge is looking for proposals that have the main goal of training and skilling individuals in artificial intelligence and
specifically generative AI, so they develop a foundational level of knowledge and user level proficiency in AI systems. Successful
proposals will also apply a responsible approach to the use of AI and specifically large language models.
The Challenge will award up to 5 organizations with $250,000 USD to implement their proposal by the end of June 2024. We will
consider both discrete projects and projects that further existing programs. Awardees and other high-potential proposals will
also be considered for non-financial resources, such as access to cloud computing resources, technical guidance from
Microsoft AI experts, and data training. To be considered for grant funding in addition to in-kind support, please complete the
following application questions by 7:00 pm ET on August 15, 2023.
Lead(s) of the proposed project should answer the application questions, which will take approximately 3 to 5 hours to
complete.
For more information about the challenge, including requirements, dates, phases, please visit this challenge information page.
