HOW TO START THE ACTIVITY: (5 STEPS)  Crayons/Watercolor (to accommodate the number of
patient)
1. Climate of acceptance:  Bond paper

PROCEDURE:

g) Let patients interpret their drawing. Leader must give
lead questions to enable more accurate interpretation
of patient’s work. Therapist interpretation based on
color and drawing interpretation guide. These must
never be revealed or shown to patients.

COLOR INTERPRETATION
 Red and Yellow – spontaneous form of expression of
the behavior
 Blue and Green – represent a more controlled
behavior
 Black and Brown – represent repression, regression
and depression
 Dark and Muddy – anxiety, depression (matingkad na
kulay na pinagsama)
 Black and blue – severe depression, indicates hostility,
rage, violent feelings
 Male – it indicates difficulties in psychosexual
identification
 Female – dominated behavior
 Yellow – it reflects proper values for the opposite sex,
but may indicate inability to meet life situation
 Black – it indicates depression and anxiety
 Mixing combining colors – means higher intellectual
functioning
 Overlapping colors – still abnormal
 Triangular forms – it means hate, hostilities and
selfishness
 Heavy lines – indicates schizoid or chronic alcoholic
 Faint lines – indicates low energy level, feelings of
inadequacy and indecision
 Jugged lines – hostility, insecurity, anxiety
 Indecisive lines – insecurity and anxiety
