introduction letter. This letter introduces Ms. Carter, her likes and
interests, as well as her some personal information, including the

where her students are in terms of literacy development, including
reading and writing. She is has began making connections with
students and has observed a variety of cultural backgrounds and
languages in the classroom. Ms. Carter sends home a letter explaining
the importance of home reading for literacy development, as well as
parent-child discussion about their reading.

As the school year progresses, Ms. Carter learns that some students
some students speak a different variety of English. She recognizes the
need for support and reaches out to the parents. She writes an email
to a students parent, inviting them to her classroom after school to
have a check-in regarding their experience with their child, and to
further understand the parents’ insights.
