Multi-national disaster management exercise
PANEX-21 inaugurated
A multi-national and multi-agency military
exercise, PANEX-21, was inaugurated on
Monday. The two-day exercise, aiming to
develop capabilities in disaster management
aspects for the BIMSTEC nations is being
held between December 20-22 in the city.
The exercise is being attended by delegates
and subject matter experts from India,
Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Sri
Lanka and Thailand. They will brainstorm
various aspects related to conducting
effective humanitarian assistance and
disaster relief operations during a natural
disaster in the background of a pandemic.
