Section A
(Aptitude and Logical Reasoning)

MCQ (4x1)
1. Which number should come in the place of “?”?

a. 3

b. 9

c. 7

d. 8
2. In the series: 7, 10, 8, 11, 9, x, y, z. z,y,x in the same order are:
a. 15,13,16

b. 13,16,15

c. 12,10,09

d. 13,10,12

3. Nate is older than Anne

Sid is older than Nate

Anne is older than Sid

If the first two statements are false, the third statement is

a. True

b. False

c. Uncertain

4. In the figure below replace the “?”:

a. 105

b. 228

c. 195

d. 225

Section B
(Coding)

Coding (4x2)
1. Take input from the user for 2 arrays and store them in array with names “arr1” and “arr2”. Find
the common elements in both arrays and find the product of the common numbers and store in
“pro” and sum of squares of the common numbers and store in “squ” and print all at the end.
2. Take input from the user for an integer. Check the number for Harshad number or Niven number.
For example, 1729 is a Harshad number because 1 + 7 + 2 + 9 = 19 and 1729 = 19 × 91.
Harshad numbers are also known as Niven numbers.

Determine Output (1x2)

1. What are the final values of x, y, z?
int x=1,y=3,z=5;
y=x++;
z=y-3;
x=z+3;

Section C
(Electronics)

Basic Electronics (4x3)

1. Find the equivalent capacitance (between A and B) of the infinite capacitance
circuit given below and calculate the charge filled in them if they are fully charged
with help of a 10 V battery. Value of each capacitor is 10 µF.
2. Consider the setup shown below, a capacitor is filled with a dielectric which
varies along the horizontal length of the plates of the capacitor, the dielectric
constant as a function of length (x) is given by 𝑘(𝑥) = 𝑥 − 𝑥𝑙𝑛(𝑥) + 𝑒 . The
distance between the plates of the capacitor is d = 1mm and the width of the
capacitor is 3mm. Find the capacitance of the capacitor. [Note: The capacitor
plates are a square].
Given: 𝜀 = 8.85 ∗ 10 𝐹𝑚 , 𝑑 = 1𝑚𝑚, 𝑤 = 3𝑚𝑚

𝑑 = 1𝑚𝑚 𝑤 = 3𝑚𝑚

3. What is the maximum force on a 22.5 µC that passes through a magnetic field of
1.5T at a speed of 10 km/s at an angle of 45° with respect to the magnetic field?
In what direction is the force on the charge? [Refer to the figure below]

𝐵 = 1.5𝑇

∅ = 45°

𝑄 = 0.2𝜇𝐶
4. What is the power dissipated in the resistor R3 if the values of R1 = 10 ohm, R2
= 3 ohm, R3=R4=3 ohm, R5= 10 ohm connected along a voltage of 12 V as
follows:

Section D

b. 132
c. 143
d. 104

2. Who is the Father of Indian Space program?

a. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
b. Rakesh Sharma
c. Vikram Sarabhai
d. Satish Dhawan
