Plastic waste has become a major global problem, and one that must be addressed in order to solve
the world’s resource and energy challenges. Millions of plastic items are improperly disposed on a daily
basis. This has brought serious damages to local environments around the world in terms of water, air
and soil pollution. It blocks drains, pollutes rivers and wreaks havoc on the environment.

Converting plastic waste into tiles to reduce its negative impact on environment.

How to make a plastic waste into tiles?

1. We need a plastic waste like bottles, caps, buckets and more

2. Put the Plastic waste in the Plastic Shredder. Shredder is a machine that chops plastic into small
pieces. The plastic is shredded which allows it to be milted easier and faster.
3. Mix the shredded plastic with sand
4. Put in the Plastic Extruder. This is the machine that will mix and melt the plastic together with
the sand.
5. Place in a hydraulic press compact and heats it at the same time creating the plastic tiles. It
takes 100 lbs of force to compress the tile and take about 40 second for it to cool. After a little
bit of trimming the tile is completed.

Benefits of plastic waste tile:

 Can help reduce the environmental pollution, thereby making the environment clean
and healthy. Water absorption of plastic tile is zero percent.
 Plastic tiles have good strength, decrease flammability, low water absorption, and eco-
friendliness as tiles products.
