5. Product installation operation

When the power switch is turn-On and after system initialization, a door-width measurement fault (- WIDTH
FAULT) may occur on the FND indicator. This means that door-width is not measured, so it is recommended
to measure door-width
5.1 Door Inverter operation during initial installation
5.1.1 Check the wiring
① Check all connector wiring (CN01, CN02, CN05, CN06, CN07, CN08).
② CN09 on the left is not connected (prepared for future use).

5.1.2 Automatic measurement of magnetic pole position (zeroing)

① Turn on the power switch, it located at the left lower side of the door inverter.
② Each time the power switch is turned on, the magnetic pole position is automatically measured and the
magnetic pole position is saved.
③ The re-measurement of the motor pole position is executed by the command of the console or tablet.
After the re-measurement of the motor pole is completed, it returns to the previous mode of measuring
the position of the motor pole.

5.1.3 Parameter setting

① All parameters are set as default values at shipment, so be sure to check and set them again.
• Setting and checking system parameters
• Setting and checking door parameters
② Parameter change can be changed even during open, closed or stopped, and is reflected after
opening/closing once.

9
Koeltec Co., Ltd.

③ Some of “System Parameter” and “Door Parameter” are reflected after change, reset or power
OffOn.
④ The parameter is composed of 6 groups, and each group is identified by each ID.

5.1.4 Door width measurement: initial installation or when required;

① When a door width fault (-WIDTH FAULT) occurs on the LCD window when the power switch is on, it
means to “measure the door width”.
The door width should be measured with Inspection mode.
Select “C00 Door Width Measurement” in “Operation Parameter Group” with a command from the
console or tablet, It is executed when the CLOSE button of the door inverter is pressed 3 times (within
0.5 seconds).
After the door width measurement is completed, it returns to the initial mode, and it initialized the gain
parameter and the door pattern parameters of the door inverter.
② The measured door width is saved in “Door Parameter Group” “D08 Measured Door Width” and can
be checked. This “measured door width” can be changed manually.

5.2 CAN communication speed setting (MHC2 : 100Kbps -default set, TAC50K : 50Kbps)
① Set/change in system parameter S05 (CAN baud rate): 0 (100Kbps), 1 (50Kbps)
② Press the OPEN button of the door inverter 3 times to change the CAN communication speed,
If the power is turned off and restarted, the change in CAN communication speed is reflected.

5.2.1 How to check communication speed with CAN LED

If CAN communication is ONLINE and there is no fault, CAN LED maintains ON status. If fault is detected,
CAN LED is blinking 0.1 second interval. If CAN communication is not working, refer to the table below.
Status of door Inverter MHC2(100Kbps) TAC50K(50Kbps)
dis-connected CAN or communication
stay Off status blinking 0.5 second interval
speed did not match
connected CAN communication stay On status
on the Fault status blinking 0.1 second interval

5.3 Meaning of ON/OFF of Power LED and RUN LED

5.3.1 Power LED:
When the power switch is turned on, the LED stays ON status. If the LED does not turn on even after the
power switch is turned on, the input power (220Vac) is not turned on or the fuse inside the door inverter is
blown.
(Fuse specification: 0213 4.0P (250Vac/4.0A), 5x20mm, time-lag glass type, Littelfuse)
5.3.2 RUN LED:
RUN LED is OFF when PWM is OFF. In case of PWM ON, RUN LED is ON/OFF 0.1 seconds interval in
initial operation. In case of pattern operation, when door almost stopped, RUN LED is ON.
When the door is moving, the RUN LED turns ON/OFF 0.3 seconds interval.

5.4 Door open/close commissioning operation

5.4.1 Change of operation mode (automatic, manual, demo)
① Operation mode is “auto mode” when shipped from the factory, waits for CAN command from the
control panel, and operates according to CAN command. If the CAN cable is not connected or CAN
communication is not working, the door inverter is recognized as an inspection operation even
though in automatic mode.
② If the elevator is in inspection operation, you can open and close the door with the open/close button
of the door inverter. In inspection operation, if the INS Up/Down switch is pressed while the door is
open, the control panel sends a door closing signal through CAN to proceed with the door closing.
However, when the open button is pressed on the door inverter, the door inverter operates with
priority over the CAN command, and when the open button is released, the CAN command closes.
③ When the door is initially installing, set (Yes) “E00: CAN mode” in “Operation mode parameter group
E00” and perform a trial run of opening and closing the door with the open/close button on the door
inverter.

10
Koeltec Co., Ltd.

(It is in CAN mode, but manual operation is possible because it is in the inspection operation state
during installation)
Also, by setting “C06 Operation Mode” to “Manual Mode” in “Operation Parameter Group”, you can
proceed with the trial run of opening and closing the door with the open/close button on the door
inverter.
④ And, set (Yes) “E00: Demo mode” in “Operation mode parameter group E00” to proceed with the test
run continuously.
Also, by setting “C06 operation mode” in “Operation parameter group” to “Demo mode”
(automatically repeats opening/closing), test operation can be performed continuously.
⑤ Operation mode maintenance: When the power switch is turned Off to On, the desired operation
mode can be saved. Select from “S30 Initial Mode” of “System Parameter Group”.
⑥ After installation and test operation is completed, set the operation mode to “auto mode” and press
the “SET” button.
Even if the power switch is turned Off to On, “auto mode” is maintained.

5.4.2 Changing the distance, speed and torque of the opening action
① Optimize by changing the distance parameter of D10~D12 in “Door parameter group”.
② Optimize by changing the speed parameters of D13~D17 in “Door parameter group”.

※※※ Detailed description of function parameters ※※※

S12 : Heavy door speed P gain
When using the heavy door function, the weight of the door on the corresponding floor cannot be
automatically measured, so it is a parameter to adjust the speed P-gain so that the door opens/closes
smoothly on the corresponding floor.

S27: CFL mode

When there is interference from a passenger or any obstacle while the door is being closed, it is closed by
increasing the closing force to overcome this, and if the increased force does not close even when the set
value is reached, the door is reopened to alleviate the impact.

S28: PSC function

This is a function to save energy by lowering the power output to the motor as much as possible when the
door is closed to reduce standby power.
• If PSC = 1, cut off the power output to the door motor.
• If PSC = 0, it returns to the normal standby state that can be opened or closed.

S10: PSC delay time (S)

S28: When PSC = 1 (function use),
After the door is closed and DCL = 1 is set, if there is no open command until the time set in this parameter,
the motor power is cut off.

S29: Initial mode

When the power is turned on or when software reset is performed in C05 (Reset), the operation mode is
selected.

S30: Increase of torque for construction work

When the elevator is installed and used for construction work,
When door opening/closing is not smooth due to stack phenomenon (pressure by wind), setting this
parameter to 1 increases torque up to 200% to operate all floors.

8. Product maintenance
If there is a problem with the product and operation is impossible, check the following items.
① If the Power LED in the lower left part of the product is off, measure the input power between Pin2-
Pin3 of 220VAC terminal with a tester. If the input power is supplied normally, turn off the power switch
on the lower left and open the product cover to check the fuse status. If the fuse is cut-off, replace it
with a spare fuse.
(Fuse specification: 0213 4.0P (250Vac/4.0A), 5x20mm, time-lag glass type, Littelfuse)
② Check if the connection status of the connector/terminals connected to the left and right side of the
door inverter is well connected.
③ Check if the connection status of the “door limit switch” and “command input” terminal connected to
the right side of the door inverter is well connected.
Whether parallel communication with the control panel is successful can be checked with the status
LEDs (NCL, OP, CL).
④ Check the connection status of the “Inverter output” terminals.
⑤ Check if the “motor cable and encoder cable” are damaged.
⑥ If operation is not possible even after checking the above items, replace the product.
