Functional and Hierarchical Lines

 Hierarchically accountable to: President of Myanmar Medical Association.
 Functionally accountable to: Senior Manager and M & E Manager of Program
Management Department, Myanmar Medical Association (MMA).

Position Profile

M&E Officer is responsible for providing support to the process of executing, monitoring
and controlling of all M&E work concerning all MMA projects. He/she also plays a
supportive role in advocacy, communication and social mobilization activities that are
characterized in the planning and controlling of M&E works under the guidance of M&E
Manager and Senior Manager of Program Management Department of Myanmar
Medical Association.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist M&E Manager of the Program Management Department in analysis of

project performance data’s of all projects in MMA.
2. Provide assistance to M&E Manager of the Program Management Department in
supervision and monitoring and evaluation of all projects in MMA.
 3. Analyse resource requirements and establish key stages work plans(e.g. Project
brief, Gantt charts)
4. Conduct regular monthly field supervisory, M&E visits according to the M&E plan.
(average 14 days/per month of field visits)
5. Identity lessons learned and develop case stuties to capture qualitative autputs of
the all project of MMA
6. Develop M & E trainings and other capacity buildings tools, in coordination with
the M & E supervisor, targeted for the project staff
7. Strictly follow all rules and regulations of MMA in general and projects in
particular.
8. Work effectively and efficiently with daily and weekly work schedules i.e. to keep
a proper project logbook that includes all activities.
9. Provide regular feedback and information on Monitoring, supervision and
evaluation. (e.g. Monthly progress reports) to the M&E Manager of M&E section.
10. Ensure all monitoring, supervision and evaluation works are in line with PMD-
MMA guidelines.
11. Perform other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

 Must be a graduate from a recognized Medical University(MBBS); preferably

post graduate degree (or) Master of Public Health
 Must have at least (2) years Project Management in NGO/ INGOs
 Must have a valid SAMA registration
 Life member of MMA
 Must be in good health
 Experience in Project Cycle Management
 Must be proficient in English Language
 Must be flexible and have an empathetic attitude, team spirit
 Need to follow MMA Code of Ethics.
 Immediate family members of a staff are not allowed to apply for a position in
the same project in MMA.
 Able to work in a multicultural context
 Motivated to work in the field and remote areas.
 Have strong interpersonal communication skills.
 Able to work independently and also in a team to meet goals and deadlines
 Ability to delegate and direct others in a positive and sensitive way.
 Ability to work well under pressure.
 Must have computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power- Point.
 Must be able to travel to all project sites in the country.0
