Based on the MP5K, this weapon is uniquely the only SMG to be

held one-handed like a pistol, with its traits emphasising the
compact size of it to function similarly to a machine pistol.

Overview
The Sturm KZ’s handling is incredibly great. It being a very light
SMG in the game along with its cheap stat requirements making
it ideal as a light secondary.

Sadly those are its only redeeming traits. It has poor per shot
damage along with unremarkable crit and weakspot stats. And while it does have a healthy fire
rate for an SMG, its small magazine hampers its sustained DPS overall, unless one uses up
memory chip slots to alleviate the issue. It’s accuracy is also rather bad, regulating this gun to
limited use.

Sturm however has one niche that it excels; as a secondary light support weapon to
complement a pistol main build. In a pistol build that uses it as the main weapon, the Sturm is
light enough to pass off as a bootleg pistol suitable for strictly applying buffs to the user and is
as such a popular go-to secondary on minimalistic builds.

Specific Builds
A preset non-crit build can be used here; although should you want to maximise medal gauge
gains, you can add a “Medal Gauge Increase” memory chip to bolster its performance.
Verdict - Average

Farm Locations
Sturms drop from S-Type Barrage Automatons found scattered around White Frontier, although
the best place to farm one is in the overworld near the Earthshaker ice lake.

By running back and forth at the arrows shown above, one can pick off any Barrage Automatons
within its path and continuously go back and forth for them to continuously respawn.

Alternatively, you could hunt Silica in BoB:S Grandmaster Class Round 1. She drops at least a
6-chip epic Sturm but you will need to use Hawk Eye to check if she or Premiere spawns in her
place instead.
Draque L Haboob+

Weakspot Damage 120.00% Requirements 78 STR, 79 DEX

Based on the Uzi, this SMG is a solid choice for beginners and
still remains a solid choice today, even if it's a bit weaker than
it used to be.

Overview
The Draque L series boast consistency with its high per shot
damage, slow yet manageable fire rate, decently generous
stat requirements and large ammo capacity to make a very
beginner friendly SMG overall, allowing for ammo
conservation early on with average stats across the board.

It’s however thoroughly average in return, not being particularly DPS intensive in return neither
does it have any other gimmick that makes this weapon particularly desirable. Yet it still remains
a solid SMG for those who need to decide on which SMG to use should the need arise.

Specific Builds
A preset non-crit build would suffice here.

Verdict - Average

Farm Locations
You can obtain this gun from Yeoman Nabla in BoB:S Grandmaster Class Round 1. He, like many
of the Round 1 contestants can be quickly identified via Hawk Eye and guarantees at least a
6-chip epic should you kill him. He shares a spawn with Laplacian.
Alternatively, you can travel deep into Lost Gate to fight a Kureha? clone located at a branching
path in the room shown below. She spawns with an Itsuki? clone after you deal with all the
drones in the room and you hop onto the elevated platform. You however cannot teleport to
midpoint 1 for this, as the door is locked.
Sirius 4+

Crit Rate 2.00% Weight 445

Weakspot Damage 125.00% Requirements 46 STR, 108 DEX

The only optical SMG in the game, Sirius is a capable SMG

that holds its own even into the late game as a dependable
PvE weapon.

Overview
Despite its low per shot damage, Sirius is a serviceable gun
overall. Fast fire rate, very large ammo capacity along with
it being light and cheap on STR makes this a particularly
powerful bullet hose weapon. Simply pull the trigger and
hope for the best with this gun and for the most part, it will do you well. As a PvE weapon, Sirius
is great against most enemies in the game.

It’s only downside is that it is an optical weapon and as such plagued by the same disadvantages
of an optical gun; low projectile speed, less effective against humanoids and its other stats
aren’t something flashy either.

Works as a bullet hose or as a semi-support weapon for ArFa’s due to the elevated effective
range.

Specific Builds
The preset non-crit build would suffice here, but you may elect “Medal Gauge Increase” to
boost its support performance and “Effective Range” to extend its reach. Sirius is flexible
enough to fulfill both roles.
Verdict - Borderline Strong/Average

Farm Locations
Sirius primarily drops from S-Type SMG Drones, found sporadically around the map. While they
can be found in the Icicle Prison, they can be manipulated to be spawned with better certainty
in the Meteorological Institute Midpoint Area.

To do so, fast travel to midpoint 3 and head down into the room filled with enemies. Among
them will be a single Giga Ivory Shell that will summon said S-Type SMG Drones as
reinforcements, located at the marker shown below. Kill all enemies in the room first and leave
the Giga Ivory Shell alive for it to continuously spawn lots of SMG Drones till it drops your
desired rarity.
SPB Praseodymium 2

Weakspot Damage 120.00% Requirements 73 STR, 100 DEX

The P90 or how LLENN likes to call her signature

weapon “P-chan” (except it’s not pure to pink to
us) may not be as good in-game as how LLENN
rocks that in AGGO, but it's still a strong weapon
in its own right.

Overview
The Praseodymium has decent stats making it a
simple to use SMG. Decent damage, range, a
healthy rate of fire and its sizable ammo capacity
makes this gun easy to use at all stages of the
game.

However like most SMGs, its other stats are thoroughly average overall. Its crit and weakspot
values are nothing exactly fascinating to look at, and while the gun is not as inaccurate as its C+
rating may say, its slightly lower accuracy does hamper some longer range shots overall.

A reliable SMG overall to use, at least until stronger options come in later down the line.

Specific Builds
The preset non-crit build would suffice here.

Verdict - Borderline Strong/Average

Farm Locations
Drops from S-Type Medium Facsimiles that are mostly concentrated in the Meteorological
Institute Ruins and can be found at the beginning of the said dungeon. However, their
appearances are rather sporadic and rare throughout, so the picture at the bottom is so far the
most reliable way to encounter them along with some extra enemies.

Alternatively, one is guaranteed to drop from LLENN herself in BoB:S Grandmaster Class Final
Round as a 6-chip epic minimum. This is made easier by the fact her spawn is all but
guaranteed, but you will have to go through the shithole of BoB:S to get to her.

Or if you are somehow content in using Abyssal Dungeon, the Kureha? clone from 47-49F is
guaranteed to drop one should you kill her.
Spiral Shadow 4
Damage Type Physical Firing Action Full Auto

Base DMG (95-105%) 1016-1123 Ammo Type Handgun Bullets

Chip DMG (95-105%) 1539-1701 Ammo Capacity 64

Overclock 1177 Rate of Fire (RPM) 522

Chip Overclock 1783 Effective Range 20.0

Crit Rate 2.00% Weight 655

Crit Damage 150.00% Accuracy B

Weakspot Damage 115.00% Requirements 95 STR, 66 DEX

Based on the PP-19 Bizon 2, the Spiral Shadow

seems to take the balance between the fast firing
and hard hitting SMGs, serving as a middle ground
option between the two.

Overview
The Spiral Shadow boasts good per shot damage
overall and while not as high as the Draque L
Haboob, it is still reasonably high for an SMG.
Similarly middle of the line is its fire rate, while not as high as most of the SMGs, it is a relatively
decent one as well. The weapon also comes with an attached suppressor that supposedly
reduces aggro gained when firing the gun, a perk for players who want to deal damage and at
the same time not worry for an impending attack by enemies.

However it’s other stats aren’t that flash either like its peers. While its critical stats are average,
its weakspot damage is slightly lower than most of its peers, netting a slightly lower DPS overall.
The suppressor is also a double-edged sword in this case, reducing bullet projectile speed and
thus severely limits its mid-long range performance.

Despite its shortcomings, the gun is not bad by any means. In fact, every single non-DLC SMG is
solid in its usability, and Spiral Shadow is of course no exception.

Specific Builds
The preset non-crit build would suffice here.
Verdict - Average

Farm Locations
The most accessible place to farm one is in the Icicle Prison Depths from the boss Executioner.
Do be warned that the Executioner drops both the Spiral Shadow and Raikiri G7 Ex+, so do
check your drops before exiting.

Alternately, Rain in BoB:S Grandmaster Class Final Round drops them. Do be noted that she
shares a spawn with Strea and Seven, so spotting her may be difficult.
LMG Helical MK4
Damage Type Physical Firing Action Full Auto

Base DMG (95-105%) 750-830 Ammo Type Handgun Bullets

Chip DMG (95-105%) 1136-1255 Ammo Capacity 100

Overclock 869 Rate of Fire (RPM) 523

Chip Overclock 1316 Effective Range 15.0

Crit Rate 2.50% Weight 330

Crit Damage 150.00% Accuracy C+

Weakspot Damage 115.00% Requirements 32 STR, 63 DEX

Based on the Calico M900, the Helical is Yamikaze’s

signature weapon as a top BoB contestant. You’d think
that this gun would be good then…

Overview
The outlandish looking SMG is aptly named an “LMG” for
rather good reason. Its stupidly high 100 round capacity
for an SMG means it has impressive longevity that rivals
even actual LMGs in this regard, allowing for extended
periods of sustained fire. The weapon is also the lightest in its class and incredibly cheap in its
stats to boot.

However praises for this gun ends here. Its damage is low and with an output that is a bit on the
lower side, its overall DPS is appallingly low, the lowest out of any fully automatic weapon in the
game. This means that despite the longevity, it can’t even use it effectively due to its piss
damage. Other traits for this gun are also bad; crit remains average and weakspot damage is on
the lower end, rather low accuracy and also a low range for an SMG.

Helical’s use could be a cheap support weapon that doesn’t necessitate frequent reloading, but
unfortunately its downsides are far too numerous to even bother using. Also, there are far
better alternatives to use compared to Helical.

Specific Builds
The preset non-crit build would suffice here.
Verdict - Bad

Farm Location
Helical is a DLC 1 weapon that can only be obtained from BoB:S Grandmaster Class. Yamikaze in
the Final Round drops them as at least 6-chip epics and he is a guaranteed spawn there, making
Helical acquisition somewhat easier but not exactly easy either due to the already difficult
nature of BoB:S itself.
LMG Moonlight 3++
Damage Type Physical Firing Action Full Auto

Chip DMG (95-105%) 733-810 Ammo Capacity 40

Overclock 561 Rate of Fire (RPM) 476

Chip Overclock 849 Effective Range 20.0

Crit Rate 25.00% Weight 485

Crit Damage 200.00% Accuracy A

Weakspot Damage 110.00% Requirements 66 STR, 81 DEX

Based on the Jatimatic, the Moonlights was an incredibly

divisive weapon in the game through not only its means of
acquisition, but also one of the largest step-ups of damage
at its time of implementation.

Overview
Moonlight was the hallmark of an overpowered SMG; its
selling point was its ludicrously high critical rate of 25% in a
game where the max critical rate was 12.5%, at best. It was
also the only weapon that could reasonably hit a 100%
critical rate with the correct buffs back then. Coupled with its higher than average critical
damage, this weapon can safely deal high amounts of DPS with its crits and could do so very
reliably.

All its other stats were also great, the slightly low yet perfectly controllable fire rate and ammo
capacity meant that this gun has little issues plus its lightweight and cheap stat requirements
make it a perfect weapon for many different builds involving this SMG.

It’s not without drawback, as it is heavily reliant on its crits to do damage. The incredibly low
per shot damage (lowest in the game period) meant that it's supposed to crit often and it gets
harrowingly obvious should the gun fail to crit. While its high crit rate means that consistency
isn’t a big issue, you will need to maintain that consistency via huge investments in LUC for it to
pay dividends. Its weakspot damage is also very low for an SMG, furthering its reliance on crits
to do the damage.
Overall this gun is very strong, so strong that it had to be nerfed a few times to bring it in line.
And while it still is a pretty powerful SMG at the moment, it is no longer the game breaking
monster it used to be as now some SMGs can compete with it and sometimes beat it.

Specific Builds
The preset crit build would suffice here.

Verdict - Strong

Farm Locations
Moonlight is a DLC 2 weapon that could only be found via randomly spawning golden drones.
Particularly infamous ones due to their incredibly shit spawn rates that were thankfully buffed
in the later patches. They can be found in 3 places in Demon Cave, but we will be focusing on
only the fastest one in this case near midpoint 1.

Fast travel to midpoint 1 and ensure you use both Conceal and Hawk Eye in this case. Exit the
room via the console and look left as shown here.

To reach that distant platform above, you will need to double UFG up there with the walls
marked; preferably the left side. Use the first UFG onto the marked walls the first time and in
the middle of the somersault, use the second UFG to the railings of the far left-side platform.
Alternatively, you could UFG to the wall close to the railings if you aren’t confident in hitting the
platform railings instead.
Once you reach the platform on the other side, run up close to the door and check your radar
with Hawk Eye for the 5th red dot at the middle right side of the room shown below. If the 5th
dot appears on your radar, the golden drone has indeed spawned.

If not, repeat from midpoint 1 and do the same UFG movements. Conceal in this case allows
you to not alert the enemies on the platform as you approach the wall/door near the spawn
room, allowing you to quickly reload the midpoint without wasting time killing the enemies as
they become alerted to you. Hawk Eye helps here in allowing you to check the room before you
open it, therefore saving time instead of wasting time killing the enemies on the platform and
waiting for said door to open.
SMG Technical V3+
Damage Type Physical Firing Action Full Auto

Base DMG (95-105%) 950-1050 Ammo Type Handgun Bullets

Chip DMG (95-105%) 1439-1591 Ammo Capacity 30

Overclock 1100 Rate of Fire (RPM) 768

Chip Overclock 1666 Effective Range 15.0

Crit Rate 5.00% Weight 695

Crit Damage 200.00% Accuracy A

Weakspot Damage 120.00% Requirements 88 STR, 90 DEX

Based on the Vector, the Technical isn’t exactly like

its namesake, but it does look hella professional
and one of the sleeper SMGs in the game despite
its traits.

Overview
Technical is a surprisingly powerful SMG, having
decent base damage along with decent critical stats
to make use of. The 5% crit rate makes it flexible for
both crit and non-crit builds, although its
particularly high crit damage may encourage
players to use crit builds. Its true selling point
however is its rate of fire, which is the top of its class, allowing for some incredibly high DPS in a
short amount of time.

It does have a big downside, 30 round capacities may be the norm outside but it isn’t the case in
this game. Coupled with the fast fire rate depleting its magazine very rapidly, frequent reloading
is a part of this weapon’s disadvantage and while its reload isn’t slow by any means, the copious
amount of reloading isn’t an inviting prospect with this gun. Not to mention its low range and a
slightly expensive stat requirement for an SMG.

The gun still performs admirably, one of the fastest firing SMGs in the game that leads to an
incredibly high burst DPS. While the reloading is the issue, it can be partially mitigated with the
proper memory chips and the gun’s crit rate ensures its flexibility in deciding on how you’d like
to set up a build for your Technicals.

Specific Builds
Technicals can use both a crit and a non-crit build, although the 200% crit damage may lean it
slightly more towards the crit builds. To alleviate its frequent reloading, “Ammo Capacity”
and/or “Auto Reload Rate” chips can be considered.

Verdict - Strong

Farm Locations
Technical is a DLC 3 weapon only obtainable from Behemoth MT-04 in Lost Gate Depths. Fast
travel to it and simply enter the teleporter in front of the console. Be warned however that it
shares a drop with Super Nova and the launcher will tend to drop more frequently than the
SMG most of the time.

The other method is to tackle Defensive Battle Level 8 for a chance to get it out of the 5 possible
drops in it. I again don’t recommend this however due to the massively diluted drop pool of that
specific game mode.
