INDIVIDUALS WITH CRIMINAL RECORD SHOULDN’T BE

ALLOWED TO RUN FOR GOVERNMENT

As we all know our country has a democratic government which each

of us has a power to choose and vote for our country's leader through
voting during an election. However the candidates with a criminal record
should not be allowed to run for office in our country for this reason :
First, many people and citizen were going to suffer in inequality. For
example, we ordinary citizens can't get a decent job without getting a
police and NBI clearance. However certain individuals with pending cases
and criminal record can run and maneuver our government even they
have a bad record. And this one is a example of unequal treatment in our
society. Inequality will lead to certain chaos in our nation.
Next, increasing of corruption, graft, plunder and other unending
issues in our country. If we allowed to elect a candidate that has a serious
record and pending case, the previous happenings and issues will still
continue and will result to unending problems in our country. For example,
Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada a candidate who runs a candidacy as a senator,
even though he had a pending case of graft and plunder charges for
misusing the government funds. This one is a big example of inequality in
our society.
Next is Juan Ponce Enrile who also run as a senator even his facing
a plunder and graft charges in connection to the pork barrel scandal.
This two individual that are mention are just example of allowing a
criminals to run for office even they have a serious crime records and
That’s is the main reason why our country is still in a brink of major social,
political, and many more issues.
So to conclude, we shouldn’t allow the individuals who has a crime
records to run for our country. They doesn’t deserve a second chance
cause giving them a chance means where giving them a more chances to
sow a terror in our society. Which will result to no peace and development
in our country. That’s why we shouldn’t allow and support the individuals
that runs in politics that has a serious bad record. There is no good future
in a hands of a corrupt people.
