ESSAY ABOUT MY PROFESSION

I would like to study medicine because it is a beautiful career. Medicine is the science that
is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses and injuries. Medicine
deals with both health and illness and can have a curative, therapeutic, preventive, or
palliative approach, depending on the patient's needs. None of the members of my family
are doctors, and I would like to be the first doctor in the family. The field of medicine has
many branches, but the three that I like the most and that catch my attention are plastic
surgery, maxillofacial surgery, and gynecology. If I study gynecology I would go for the
specialty of obstetrician. I know that if someday I become a specialist in any of these areas
of medicine, my mom would be very proud of me. Since I told her that I liked this career,
she has always supported me in pursuing this goal, and I know she always will. Medicine is
not an easy career, but I feel able for overcoming all the challenges it puts in my way, and
also, be able to help those who need it. I want to have my own clinic and be well-known
wherever I have the opportunity to practice my career.
