My name is Yazlyn Nurhaliza. I was born on Pekanbaru, at 30th of October 2000.

I recently
graduated from 1st National Senior High School in Pekanbaru. I love some kind of an artist thing such as
singing, listening to music. I also love reading books, in any genre of it especially science. Some of my
friends told that I am an ambitious and a hard-working person. I am indeed a very ambitious person,
especially for achieving my goals, who also loves to know everything around me specifically.

There is a good quote that really inspired me to reach my goal. It sounds:

“The harder you work for something, the greater you will feel completed when you achieve it.”

That quotes above are really motivated myself to pursue my goals and being a good and a useful
person in the future. I always dream about being a doctor, ever since I was a child. Peoples around me are
always keep asking about, why I am interested in medicine world. While they keep convincing me that
being a doctor is not that easy, and it does not a good choice for someone like me. But that words cannot
let me down, so I am convincing them back that I can rise back up and become a good doctor and successful.

Why am I interested in medicine world? At the first moment, I used to think that being a doctor is
a good chance for me to gain a lot of money in the future. Also, the paradigm of people that says people
who became a doctor is the best and considered as smart person that made me follow that such paradigm.
That is however not the case. In my opinion, being a doctor is not like what others think about. Finally, I
am aware that a doctor job is not just about money, but the job is to serve the community, providing care
and welfare to those who needs it in order to have an acceptable standard of living.

There are so many populations of doctor in all parts of the city, covering our sights to be seeing a
lot of restricted district that extremely need some help to make theirs developing in the terms of health.
Slums usually lack basic knowledge in basic sanitation and the importance of public health in physical or
spiritual that may the cause of many outbreaks. In addition, public health agent often has difficulties in
getting their place even more causes of health problem in slums.

Therefore, there is a need for someone to be an agent to develop the health care which is desperately
needed there. That is why, if I am accepted into this program and become a doctor, I would be happy to
teach them and socialize the importance of disease prevention as well as treating them to the fullest of my
ability wherever and whenever they need, so that any district in Indonesia will become a health and being
a disease-threats-freedom country.

To be a doctor, I need to choose the best medicine faculty - university. I searched all information
about universities – medicine faculty and asked guidance from my parent. Finally, the UPH medicine
faculty is my best choice university with complete facilities to support all student to reach their goal.
