Section A

1. Here are some suggestions you should consider:

- Purpose and Workload Requirements: It's critical to comprehend the system's main goal
as well as the precise workload it will manage. Think on the kinds of activities the gear must
be able to do, such as gaming, video editing, data analysis, web surfing, or standard office
work. It is crucial to configure the hardware for the intended use since different jobs call for
differing amounts of processing power, graphics capability, and memory.
- Performance and Scalability: You need to evaluate if the hardware’s performance and
ensure that it aligns with your interest. Scalability also needs to be considered to
accommodate for any future growths.
- Compatibility and Interoperability: Ensure that all hardware components are compatible
with one another. Additionally, verify that the chosen hardware is compatible with the
operating system and software applications you intend to use.
- Power and Thermal Considerations: Consider the amount of power that the hardware
needs so that the power supply unit can handle the load. Don’t forget to consider the thermal
characteristic of the component and ensure proper cooling systems to avoid overheating
issues.
- Budget and Cost-effectiveness: Make a realistic budget for the hardware and aim for the
best ratio between cost and performance.

2. I think that the hardest phases are the initial phase and execution phase, because:
- Initial phase: Starting something is always very hard since it is where we define our
project. We define the project by figuring out the project’s objectives, scope, constraints,
and stakeholders which are all documented. In this phase the project team and stakeholders
need to have a clear understanding of the project which also contributes to the difficulty of
this phase.
- Execution phase: In this phase, the project plan is put into action. The reason why I think
this is one of the hardest part is because something can happen outside of the expected plan
and could harm the project, which is why clear communications and collaboration between
members are very important.

3.
Close-ended Questions:
- Do you prefer more sophisticated features like real-time order tracking and loyalty
program integration over a basic online meal ordering system?
- Do you prefer one platform over another? Would you like to be able to use the online
purchasing service through both a website and a mobile app?
- Do you want to incorporate an existing payment gateway into the application, or
would you rather look into other payment methods?
- Would you like to emphasize any particular foods or menu items in the application
as special recommendations?
- Do you prefer curbside collection, in-house delivery, or third-party delivery services
as delivery and pickup options?

Open-ended Questions:
- What specific difficulties are you now encountering at this moment, and how has the
COVID-19 outbreak affected your restaurant business?
- What are your main objectives and anticipations regarding the online ordering
system for food? Do you have any specific objectives in mind?
- How do you presently manage orders, and what functions would you want to see
added to the program to make it more efficient?
- What do you want clients to experience while utilizing the online ordering system?
What characteristics would make it simple and practical for them?

- Are there any particular branding aspects or design preferences you'd want to include
in the application to keep it consistent with the way you want people to perceive your
restaurant?

4. Here are 5 potential consequences of not evaluating and managing risks:

- Project delays and cost overruns: Without a thorough risk analysis, possible problems
and obstacles might not be discovered at an early stage. Unexpected issues might therefore
occur at the implementation stage, resulting in project delays and cost overruns. A
company's budget and profitability may be affected by insufficient risk management since it
can delay projects and raise costs.
- System Performance and Stability Issues: If risks associated with system architecture,
hardware requirements, or scalability are not properly assessed, the system may experience
performance and stability problems in the future. Customers may get dissatisfied as a result
of the frequent system failures, sluggish response times, and other issues. Such issues could
harm the business's reputation and result in missed opportunities.
- Breach of Data Security and Privacy Issues: Data breaches and data theft may occur if
issues connected to data security and privacy are not evaluated by the company. Financial
losses, legal repercussions, and serious reputational harm to the business might all result
from this. Implementing strong security measures and adhering to pertinent data protection
standards are essential components of effective risk management.
- Incompatibility with Existing Systems: There is a danger of incompatibility problems if
the risks of integrating the new system with current software or hardware are not assessed.
Data discrepancies, operational inefficiencies, and increased maintenance costs might result
from a lack of system compatibility. Integration concerns may need expensive rework or
system replacement if they are not addressed.
- Suitable User Adoption and Training Challenges: Low user adoption rates can be
caused by failing to recognize and handle user-related risks, such as resistance to change or a
lack of suitable training. Employees who are not sufficiently trained on the new system may
find it difficult to utilize it successfully, which might reduce productivity and raise support
needs.

Section B

1.
a) Here are 4 attributes that determine the success of a project:
- Project Objectives and Deliverables: The success of a project depends on having clearly
defined and attainable project objectives. The project's objectives, scope, and purpose should
be clearly defined and in line with the strategic objectives of the business. The project's
deliverables, which are its physical outputs, must be clearly specified and satisfy the
expectations of the stakeholders. To succeed, it is crucial to regularly assess how well these
deliverables and objectives are being met.
- Project Management and Leadership: Successful project management and capable
leadership are essential qualities. A competent project manager gives guidance, creates a
thorough project plan, distributes resources wisely, and makes sure that tasks are finished on
schedule and within budget. Inspiring the team, settling problems, and making crucial
decisions all depend heavily on leadership. To keep the project on pace, team members and
stakeholders must collaborate and communicate effectively.
- Project involvement and communication with stakeholders: Stakeholders involved in
projects have a variety of interests and expectations. Stakeholder involvement and
communication are essential for project success at all stages. Stakeholders must be kept up
to date on project developments, modifications, and dangers. Their suggestions and
encouragement are helpful in ensuring that the project remains in line with corporate
objectives and that any possible problems are quickly resolved.
- Quality and Risk Management: The success of a project depends on the quality and risk
management of the deliverables. Definition and adherence to standards, testing, reviews, and
the implementation of remedial measures are all part of quality management. Effective risk
management is also essential for spotting and reducing any difficulties and uncertainties that
can affect the project's success. Risks may be managed proactively, which reduces
interruptions and enhances the possibility that project goals will be met.

b) Here are 3 causes of project failure:

- Poor Planning and Scope Determination: Failure to develop a thorough and well-thought-
out project plan might result in serious problems during execution. Inadequate planning may
lead to ambiguous goals, a broad description of the project's scope, or unrealistic budgets

and timetables. Without a well-thought-out strategy, the project team would find it difficult
to deploy resources efficiently, foresee future problems, and pinpoint crucial dependencies,
which could result in project delays, cost overruns, and scope creep.
- Inadequate Communication and Stakeholder Management: Poor communication and
stakeholder management can result in misconceptions, divergent expectations, missed
chances for cooperation and feedback, as well as communication breakdowns within the
project team. Key stakeholders may become disengaged or unsupportive as a result of
insufficient communication, which might impede project development. Throughout the
project life cycle, it is crucial to develop efficient communication channels, provide frequent
updates, and actively involve stakeholders.
- Poor Risk Management: Project results may suffer if possible risks are not identified and
managed. Unexpected risks can have a big influence on the success of a project, such as
technology difficulties, budget limitations, or external variables like legislative changes.
Lack of proactive risk management practices can result in problem escalation, insufficient
backup preparations, and a failure to successfully handle unanticipated situations.

3. Here are the 4 types of training:

- User Training: The information system's end users are the main audience for user
training. It gives them the information and abilities needed to efficiently use the system to
carry out their daily responsibilities. User training often includes subjects including data
entry, report generation, system navigation, and resolving typical problems. User manuals,
online tutorials, or practical workshops can all be used to deliver the training.
- Managerial Training: The goal of managerial training is to teach managers and
supervisors how to utilize the information system to assist decision-making and monitor the
system's performance. Advanced elements including data analytics, data visualization, and
management report generation may be covered in this course. In order to make wise
judgments and streamline company procedures, managers must be aware of how to take
advantage of the system's potential.
- Technical Training: IT personnel or system administrators who are in charge of
supporting and maintaining the information system are the target audience for technical
training. Topics including system installation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting are
covered in this course. It guarantees that technical staff members are equipped with the
knowledge necessary to maintain the system's functionality and handle any potential
technical problems.
- Train-the-Trainers (TtT): The goal of train-the-trainer training is to prepare a small
number of people to serve as the system's internal trainers. These instructors, also known as
super users, are in charge of imparting information to other users inside the company. TtT
training makes sure there is a pool of skilled people who can continue to help and mentor
users long beyond the first deployment period.
