Pathfinder Summit is an academic consulting company


that provides the students a thorough discourse about
the best possible career track they may land to. It begins
by identifying the student’s unique interests, potentials,
skills, and capacities and aligning it to a program where
the student will most benefit from.

Consultations work in two distinct ways: physical and


virtual consultations. For the former, the students are
offered to have a one-on-one talk with the company’s
internationally recognized academic advisers in a conducive atmosphere. On this note, both
parties have the chance to build professional and friendly relationships, which could pave the
way of addressing all concerns, queries, and clarifications more easily and effectively. On the
side note, the students may also opt to undergo the consultation via virtual communication, then
the same kind of quality service will be channeled. The latter works with the use of the internet
and other necessary technological tools. In both ways, however, the company seeks to cover the
needs of the students to discover their best potentials and apply it to their own professional lives.

2. To build, sustain reciprocal trust and professional relationships in students for providing a
safe, confidential environment, understanding, respect, and offer empathy.

Objectives:

● To genuinely understand and listen to what the student is experiencing, particularly


regarding the student's concern in life and career decisions. We help them make decisions
congruent with their worldview.
● To focus on developing and building a student’s trust in himself that would fuel him to
express his emotions, feelings, and thoughts, and realize how all these significantly
influence his behavior.

3. To promote students’ emotional, social, spiritual, mental growth and development in an


inclusive, safe, respectful learning environment and continually develop themselves to
reach their full potentials.

Objectives:

● To establish a responsive, interactive, and emotionally-positive manner of addressing


conflicts related to academic, career paths, and personal views of students on self-
development – a tool in achieving highest potential growth.
● To edify one’s holistic personal attributes as these are seen to be impactful contributory
factors in achieving success in areas of learning, career track and relationship to others.

Business History

Pathfinder Summit is founded by well-known Austrian neurologist and psychoanalysis, Sigmund


Freud, in Baguio City, 3rd day of February 2010. It started when Freud initially desired a world
of working professionals. His belief that this would be made possible through one’s innate
potential has led him to earn the now named, “Pathfinder Summit.” Generally, he overlooked the
existing company to cater the holistic capabilities and mental readiness of 1st year college
students, incorporating the edge of consultation to make the dreams work. Henceforth, it has led
to the company’s primal goal: to give a thorough consultation driven to help the students
construct wise decision in academic concerns like appropriate program in which one can sign up
for, the pros and cons of this program, the likelihood of success based on scientifically-predicted
trends, and a lot more.

From the year 2010 to 2013 the Pathfinder Summit had gone through the roughest years in the
business world. The company struggled on the numbers of students for consultation – to name
one. In a month, only 150 to 290 students came in. They found out that the lower rate of clients
was because of the lack of awareness about counseling and consultation. Most of the students

haven’t seen trust in the service it provides stemming from the stigma: “consulting a counselor
makes you crazy.” What Freud dreamt suddenly just felt dying down.

A turn-around in 2014 sparked and it changed the gameplay entirely. The company began
receiving more and more clients due to the new strategies imposed. Pathfinder Summit made a
brave move of visiting and creating seminars in every school and institution possible – raising
awareness on the importance of planning and making the best choice for a well-lived life. On this
note, the highlight was to sharpen the knowledge about mental and emotional health of a college
student as university life becomes one of the most crucial stages one may experience. Included
on this “cruciality” is a real training ground that sets the students ready and equipped for an
outside-the-campus life. The team kept expanding by taking advantage of the growing
technology. It made them open sessions virtually to reach out those outside the buffer who want
to connect with them.

Consistent from 2017 to 2020, Pathfinder Summit began being locally, nationally, and
internationally recognized. It received numerous awards of excellence for what it provides to the
college students in their career path, alongside emotional and mental health. Most outstanding
companies acknowledged the company’s contribution to mental health awareness in the
Philippines. Also, from those years, the company couldn’t resist to expand around the country to
invoke their vision, mission, and goal as an academic consulting company. In the future, we are
looking forward to continuously support Filipino students for the beloved country. Yet, as the
force of demand keeps getting stronger, the team will push through its vision: a worldwide
consultancy.
