Radar reflectors or SART are required to be fitted, where shown to SOLAS 83 inflatable liferafts fitted on Merchant
Sips registered in the UK as follows:-
1. New manufactured liferafts from 1 April 1992; and
2. For existing liferafts when next presented for servicing after 1 June 1992. See also M Notice M.1485. It should
be noted that this at present does not apply to UK registered fishing vessels.
