Operating the light is straightforward. The

face. You can then move from low, medium, and
high by pressing the activation button

To activate the flood mode, turn the light on

then press the activation button for 2 seconds.
Once in flood mode pressing the activation
button repeatedly to move through low,
medium, and high.

To turn off the light simply prevent pressing the

activation button for two seconds or more and
the next press will power off the light. The
BearTrap also has a memory and will remember
spot or flood mode on your next use.

Streamlight introduced BearTrap at the 2022 Las

Vegas Shot Show. The company appropriately
describes it as a multi-function work light that
features a spot, one thousand lumen mode and
a flood, two thousand lumen mode. This is a light
that you can use while you work on your car,
camping, boating or about anything you can
think of.

The BearTrap’s versatility comes from two

features.

The second feature contributing to its versatility
is the surface attachment options.
The BearTrap will clamp to a surface, hang from
a hook, or attach to any magnetic surface via
three large magnets embedded in its clamp
handle.
The BearTrap magnets are powerful and will
swing your compass if you’re land navigating. If
you’re taking bearings or working with a
compass and Topological map, keep the
BearTrap well away from your compass or any
other device that will provide a magnetic
bearing.
In addition to room filling illumination and
mounting flexibility the BearTrap runs on a
rechargeable lithium battery, or you can run it
continuously plugged directly to an alternating
current source via the charging cord provided.
The battery status L.E.D.s are housed in the
ON/OFF switch and will change from green to

yellow to red and then flashing red when the
battery needs to be charged. The L.E.D. will glow
red when the battery is charging and green when
the battery is fully charged.
The charging port is located on the back of the
light and is sealed with a rubber flap.
Streamlight’s BearTrap is a must have
