PINK FLOYD

• Pink Floyd are an English rock band that have achieved worldwide success with their
progressive and psychedelic rock music.

• Their are in the rock history due to their philosophical lyrics and elaborate live
shows.

• Pink Floyd were one of the most successful and influential rock band of all times.

• They have sold over 200 million albums worldwide.

• The band was placed into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.

• Originally the band consisted in four boys: Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard
Wright, and Syd Barrett.

• The band first became popular playing in London's underground music scene. Later,
the guitarist and vocalist David Gilmour joined Pink Floyd as its fifth member,
several months before Barrett's departure from the group due to his deteriorating
mental health.

• After that they launch Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall.

• In the 80's the band broke up. In 2011,the only members of the band alive (Waters,
Gilmour and Mason) joined for an exclusive concert. Their last one.

• Pink Floyd influenced American music in different ways.

• The way they incorporated lights into their live shows did arouse other senses that
were not fully used in concerts, like vision.

• Other factor that helped them to be a bigger influence in the 70's was the fact
that their songs were all conected.

• Because of that people would ear not just one song, but the whole album.
BOB MARLEY

• Bob Marley was a Jamaican singer, songwriter and musician.

• He was created in a cristian family. He became a rastafari only when he was an


adult.

• Has a rastafari, Marley was a vegetarian.

• He was the rhythm guitarist and lead singer for the reggae band Bob Marley & the
Wailers.
• Marley's music was heavily influenced by the social issues of his homeland.

• The compilation album Legend (1984) was released three years after his death and
it was reggae's best-selling album, going ten times platinum.

• Bob Marley was a big influence for the world because he showed that we only need
peace and love to be happy.

• He fought against the racism and descrimination.

• His songs were his form to teach people to be better and to be happier.
JOHN MAYER

• John Clayton Mayer is an American pop and blues musician, singer, songwriter,
recording artist, and music producer.

• His first two albums, Room for Squares and Heavier Things, did well commercially,
achieving multi-platinum status.

• In 2003, he won a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance with "Your
Body Is a Wonderland."

• Mayer began his career performing acoustic rock, but gradually changed is genre to
blues.

• John Mayer has been a big influence to his fans because his songs are very
emocional and people can relat to to them.
