2. Introduction:
In today's digital age, businesses across industries are embracing technology
to streamline their operations and enhance customer experience. The hospitality
industry is no exception, with hotels and resorts turning to automated reservation
systems to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. An online reservation
system is a valuable tool that allows customers to book their reservations with just a
few clicks, providing convenience and ease of use. With the integration of
electronic payment options, an automated reservation system can offer a seamless
booking experience and reduce the time and effort required for both customers and
staff to complete reservations.
An online reservation system is commonly utilized to store and retrieve
information about tour product options or lodging facilities and to facilitate booking
transactions, as reported in the "Online Reservation System of Sallie Ville Resort"
(Oribiana and Cerafica, 2015). Oribiana and Cerafica (2015) also indicated that
electronic reservation systems with payment integration can simplify the
reservation process and bill payment in a particular hotel or resort.
The study aims to develop a web-based reservation system with payment
integration for GoodGuys Botolan, a resort that currently uses traditional manual
methods of recording reservations through Facebook Messenger. This manual
process is prone to errors and can be time-consuming for both staff and customers,
leading to inefficiencies and customer dissatisfaction. Through the development of
an automated reservation system, this project seeks to enhance the overall customer
experience and increase operational efficiency at GoodGuys Botolan.

3. Background of the study:
GoodGuys Botolan is a renowned tourist destination in Botolan that offers
excellent accommodation, adventure activities, and scenic views. However, the
resort is currently facing challenges in managing its reservation process effectively.
The existing reservation process, which relies on Facebook Messenger, poses
various difficulties, including inaccuracies in recording bookings, delayed response
time, and inability to manage multiple reservations simultaneously.
To address these limitations, the study aims to develop a web-based
reservation system with payment integration. The proposed system seeks to provide
customers with a centralized platform for booking their preferred dates, selecting
services, and processing payments. Furthermore, the system aims to enhance the
resort's operational efficiency by enabling real-time updates on availability and
managing multiple bookings simultaneously.
Through the development of an efficient and streamlined reservation system,
GoodGuys Botolan endeavors to improve the overall customer experience while
increasing operational efficiency. The study aims to showcase the potential benefits
of payment integration and highlight the advantages of leveraging technology to
automate and simplify the reservation process.

4. Objectives of the study:

General Objective:
The main objective of the study is to develop a web-based reservation system
with payment integration for GoodGuys Botolan that will enhance the overall
customer experience and increase operational efficiency.

Specific Objectives:
 To identify the requirements and functionalities needed for an efficient web-
based reservation system with payment integration for GoodGuys Botolan.
 To design and develop an web-based reservation system with payment
integration that meets the identified requirements and functionalities.
 To test the system's usability, functionality, and performance to ensure that
it meets the desired objectives.
 To evaluate the impact of the developed system on the overall customer
experience and operational efficiency of GoodGuys Botolan.
 To provide recommendations for the continuous improvement of the
developed system to meet future needs and requirements.

5. Scope and Limitation of the study:

Scope of the Study:

This study focuses on the development of a web-based reservation system
with payment integration for GoodGuys Botolan. The scope of the study covers the
identification of system requirements, system design and development, testing, and
evaluation of the system's impact on the overall customer experience and
operational efficiency of the resort.
The developed system will allow customers to select their preferred dates,
choose accommodation, activities, and other services, and process payments online.
The system will also provide real-time updates on availability, manage multiple
bookings simultaneously, and generate reports on reservation and payment
transactions.

Limitations of the Study:

The following are the limitations of the study:
 The study will only focus on the development of a web-based reservation
system with payment integration and will not cover other aspects of the
resort's operations.
 The study will not cover the development of a mobile application for the
system, and the system will only be accessible through a web browser.
 The study will only evaluate the impact of the developed system on the
overall customer experience and operational efficiency of GoodGuys
Botolan and will not consider the impact on other stakeholders.
 The study will only be conducted in a controlled environment, and external
factors such as internet connectivity and server downtime will not be
considered.
