‘Role of Media on Young minds’.

Good morning respected Principal, Teachers and my dear friends,

today I am going to give a speech on the topic ‘Role of Media on
Young minds’.

 We all know that the Media has become an integral part of our
modern Society and It plays a significant role in everyone’s life
today.
Can anyone tell what is Media and how it started?!!!!
Well Media refers to various means used to interact and communicate
among people. Initially media started with verbal communication to
Print media and then followed by mass media and social media.
The Media has a great influence on young generation and affects both
favorably and unfavorably depending upon their usage.

Some of the main advantages of Media are:

1. It helps People to get the latest news in a very short time.

2. It is a great platform for everyone to connect with each other and

to express their opinions, objections , thoughts on any matter.

3. it gives a very good platform for people to showcase their talents

such as comedy, acting and singing etc and It is a good source of
entertainment.

4. It helps the people to increase their knowledge as the information

about any matter relating to Science, technology, History,
geography , mythology etc is easily available on the media.

5. It helps people around the world to understand each others

culture, language, lifestyles and embrace their differences.

Well Some of the Dis-advantages of Media are:

1. Social media is often wrongly used to defame the reputation of an
individual and also used to bring clashes between different cast ,
religion and language causing threat to Nations unity.

2. Over usage of media by young generation leeds to individualism.

3. Many Doctors believe that Social Media is the single most factor for
depression, anxiety in young people.

4. Some media contents are not suitable for children.

5. Media can be addictive.

:Conclusion:
Although media has many advantages it also has its limits. It is up to
us, the users, to decide and use it wisely for the best impact.
