GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Design a laboratory activity based on the activity setting using the key topics indicated.
Set the objective of the laboratory activity and plan on how to proceed with the activity in
order to achieve the objectives set. Identify the necessary equipment needed in the
designed laboratory activity. Groups must always observe the ethical considerations
upon performing the laboratory activity. Submit a Laboratory Report documenting the
laboratory activity conducted using the recommended Laboratory Report Template.

ACTIVITY SETTING

Observe any workplace in your area and evaluate its design. A workplace is any area
where a flow of operations is involved. You can select the entire if your house if you want
to. Get relevant data about the purpose of the workplace. Identify the critical factors
affecting the overall flow of operations in the workplace. Get relevant measurements such
as the layout of the workplace, dimensions of the workstations as well as relevant body
measurements if necessary and document the operation/s involved. With the concepts
about workstation design, propose an alternative to the existing layout. The new layout of
the workplace must allow maximum efficiency of the flow of operations as well as improve
productivity among the worker/s using the workplace.
