8. Test Details:
a. EC – Practical based. 10 min per trainee. Each trainee will be presented a scenario
where they must take over CPR from another rescuer for an adult casualty. Each
trainee must complete 2 cycles of CPR, then will be required to use the AED.
b. PC – Practical based. 20 min per trainee. Each trainee will be presented a scenario
where they must manage an emergency scene including scene survey, primary
survey, providing first aid to an adult with a cardiovascular emergency, then upon
resuscitation of the casualty, complete a secondary survey and provide ongoing
casualty care.
