Aubay Portugal was created in 2007 following the implementation in Portugal of our largest customer, BNP Paribas, for which
we always aim to provide proximity service and as a strategic nearshore hub for Aubay's customers in central Europe.
We evolved and through a sustained strategy and growth, currently we have offices in Lisbon and in Porto, and a staff of over
1450 employees (1231 at the end of 2021).

We have started our Professional Services teams in Portugal in 2007 with IT professionals mainly performing activities of
development with technologies around Java, Cobol and PL/SQL.
Over the years our Professional Services team has evolved to a huge coverage of IT activities as well as a massive dissemination over

In 2018, Aubay created a department fully dedicated to Nearshore activity. Besides catering to the national market, we felt we had to

In 2017 Aubay started is relation with RB having 3 resources developing the company big data platform and during 2017 the
team grew from 3 to 7 resources. At the beginning of 2018, Aubay and RB agreed to change the contract to a development,
support and infrastructure service and by the end of 2018 the team grew from 7 to 23 resources responding to more than 60
markets.
At the end of 2022 we have a fully dedicated team with 39 employees.

International Hiring

Aubay has been doing international recruitment and hiring since 2016.

Due to the increasing demand in the Portuguese market we decided to build a process that
allow us to bring in a permanent and constant way IT professionals from over the world.

In this moment in our teams we have professionals from over 20 countries.

This experience of managing the entire process gave us a strong power to answer to our
customers demands. Our team has a proven experience in attracting and hiring
internationally as, even during 2020 with all the COVID-19 restrictions, we managed to hire
and manage the travel to Portugal of over 150 skilled IT employees.

One of our focus has always been the employee experience so we try as much as we can to
give a good experience to the employees since the beginning of the recruitment process.
International Hiring
1. Recruitment & Selection:
- Done by our specialized and dedicated recruitment team (+20 IT Recruiters).
- Strong validation phase with technical tests (Codin and/or Aubay Technical Expert). 1.

- Hiring proposal accordingly with the profile.
- Explanation of the entire VISA and Travelling processes.

3. VISA Process:
- After accepting the proposal our Legal department starts meeting the future
employees to gather documentation and to give instructions to assure all the steps

- Also our People&Culture starts meeting the future employees to meet them and to Integration Proposal
give them support through the process.

4. Travelling:
- When the VISA is given our Travel Assistant organizes with the employee the flight and
takes care of the booking according to the dates aligned with the employee.
- Our Travel Assistant also gives the explanation about the plafond that is provided by
follow up
Aubay to the first lodging in Portugal.

5. Local integration:
- At the arrival in Portugal there is a local integration with the Legal team that explains
and helps over the topics such as bank account, opening activity, etc.
- Also the support from the Finance team is given. 4. 3.
Travelling VISA Process
The moment of the start in the project can be defined with the customer and it’s
possible to onboard the employee remotely during the period of processing of the VISA.
Technical Academies

In the last years we have been challenged by a high demanding market and we have already
the experience in the creation of technical academies following 2 different approaches:
General IT Reconversion and Customer On Demand Academies.

1. General IT Reconversion Academies:


Consists in hiring scientific studies profiles (usually Engineering or Mathematics based
degrees) and over a 3 months give them a full time academy.
The academy has a dedicated team that gives them theory, practical training and finishes
with a real project with a PO of one of our internal teams (HR, Finance, Recruitment, etc).

In the last 3 years we did 3 reconversion academies:


- JAVA Development: 12 trainees.
- OUTSYSTEMS Development: 10 trainees.
- JAVA Development: 15 trainees.
Technical Academies
2. Customer On Demand Academies:
Consists in preparing, in partnership with our customers, specific academies to train professionals
over less known or rare technologies in the market.
Our intervention can be just in the sourcing and hiring of profiles and/or the entire process
(sourcing, hiring, training). In the last 3 years we have been part of 7 academies:
