Root Causes and Remedy of Absenteeism and Tardiness of Tagjaguimit National High

School Student

Introduction

As a student, we can’t avoid being absent and tardy when studying. In this topic, we will

learn the reason for the student’s absence and why they decided not to go to school.

Absenteeism is the practice of regularly staying away from work or school without good

reason or planning not to go to school. Absence is always the reason why students’ grades

are low, and we don’t know what the reason is for them not going to school. As students, we

know that absenteeism has huge to know what the causes are.

However, absenteeism and tardiness are widespread issues facing the school. These issues

facing the school. These issues not only affect the academic progress of the individual

student but also disrupt the learning environment of the entire class. At Tagjaguimit National

High School, student absenteeism and tardiness have become significant concerns for

educators, and it is important to identify the root causes of these problems to address them

effectively.

The root cause of absenteeism and tardiness at Tagjaguimit National High School can be

attributed to several factors, including family issues, health problems, transportation issues,

a lack of motivation, and a lack of interest in academics. For example, students who come
from broken homes or have family problems may struggle with attendance because of

personal issues that affect their academic performance.

Health issues, such as chronic illnesses, can also affect attendance, as students may need to

miss school to receive medical treatment or recover from illness. Additionally, transportation

problems, such as long trips, can cause students to be late or absent. Lack of motivation and

apathy in academics can also lead to absenteeism and tardiness. Students who feel

disengaged in their studies may skip school or arrive late, as they may not see the value or

relevance of attending classes.

All these factors can contribute to absenteeism and tardiness and should be considered

when formulating a remedy.

To address absenteeism and tardiness at Tagjaguimit National High School, several strategies

can be implemented. The first step is to identify the root of the problem by conducting a

survey or assessment to understand why students are absent or late.

This information can be used to develop a targeted intervention that addresses specific

issues affecting each student. One possible remedy for absenteeism and tardiness is to

provide support to students who are struggling with personal or family issues.
This may include counseling services or mentoring programs that provide emotional support

and guidance to students. Schools can also work with families to create a supportive home

environment that encourages regular attendance. Addressing health issues is another

important remedy for absenteeism and tardiness. In addition, schools can work with parents

to ensure that students receive as much medical care and education as possible.

Transportation issues can be solved by going to school early or leaving home early in the

morning to avoid being late for school.

Motivation and participation in academics can be addressed by providing positive

reinforcement and offering extracurricular activities that interest students. By making school

more fun and relevant to the student’s life, they are more likely to attend regularly and be

committed to their studies. In conclusion, progress and tardiness are significant issues that

can harm the academic success of Tagjaguimit National High School.

The root causes of these problems are multifaceted and require targeted interventions to

be addressed effectively. By identifying the species that affect each student and providing

appropriate support and resources, schools can help ensure that students attend regularly

and achieve academic success.

The issue of absenteeism and tardiness among students is a common problem in many

schools, including Tagjaguimit National High School. This issue can have a significant impact

on the academic performance of students, as well as the overall functioning of the school.

To address this problem, it is important to identify the root causes of absenteeism and

tardiness. Some possible causes include student disengagement, family issues, health

concerns transportation problems, and lack of motivation. Once the root causes have been

identified appropriate remedies can be developed to address each specific cause.

To improve student engagement, teachers can use innovative teaching methods and

incorporate interactive activities in their lessons. The school can also encourage parental

involvement in the education of their children, which can help address family issues that

may contribute to absenteeism and tardiness.

Health concerns can be addressed by promoting healthy lifestyles and providing access to

medical services. Transportation problems can be solved by providing safe and reliable

Discussion of the results

Upon analyzing the data collected about the root cause of absenteeism and

tardiness in Tagjaguimit students, it was revealed that the main cause of

absenteeism and tardiness is mainly due to family-related problems such as

household chores, parental illness, and parent-child conflicts. Additionally,

poor time management skills and lack of motivation have also contributed to

the problem. The remedy to absenteeism and tardiness in Tagjaguimit

students would involve both individual and institutional interventions.

On the individual level, students can be encouraged to cultivate good time

management habits by setting up schedules, prioritizing their tasks, and

avoiding distractions. Additionally, they could be taught how to handle and

manage conflicts that arise at home to improve their attendance rates.

Additionally, schools could provide extra-curricular activities that are geared

towards fostering positive relationships and motivation among students.

Finally, schools could implement disciplinary measures for students that are

frequently absent or tardy to encourage accountability. In generalization, the

results obtained from the study conducted about absenteeism and tardiness

in Tagjaguimit students indicated the need for a multi-faceted approach that

integrates individual and institutional interventions. By actively addressing the

root causes of absenteeism and tardiness, schools can create an environment

that fosters regular attendance and promotes academic success among their

students.

Recommendation

Based on the research, a recommendation to decrease the absenteeism and

tardiness of Tagjaguimit students is to implement a reward system that will motivate

the students to attend class on time and regularly. This reward system could include

incentives such as certificates of attendance, recognition in school assemblies, or

other forms of public recognition. The school administration may also consider

implementing a disciplinary system, which includes consequences for students who

are frequently absent or tardy, such as detention or suspension.

Furthermore, it is important to investigate the root cause of absenteeism and

tardiness of Tagjaguimit students. The school administration can conduct a survey or

hold discussions with students and parents to identify the underlying problems that

lead to absenteeism and tardiness. This information can then be used to implement

targeted interventions that address the specific reasons for absenteeism and

tardiness.

Conclusions

Absenteeism and tardiness are common issues that plague many schools, including

Tagjaguimit National High School. These issues can have negative impacts on the

academic performance of students and can also disrupt the learning environment for

other students in the classroom. In order to address these problems, it is important to

identify the root causes and implement effective remedies. One of the primary root

causes of absenteeism and tardiness among Tagjaguimit National High School

students Is a lack of motivation. many students may feel disengaged from their

studies, and as a result, they may not see the value in attending classes regularly or

arriving on time. This lack of motivation can stem from a variety of factors, including

a lack of interest in the subject matter and a lack of understanding of the importance

of education.

To address this issue, Tagjaguimit National High School can implement several

remedies one potential solution is to create a more engaging classroom environment

that fosters student interest in the subject matter. This could be achieved using

interactive teaching methods, such as group work, class discussions, and multimedia

presentations. Additionally, teachers could work to build stronger relationships with

their students, providing guidance and support to help them stay motivated and

engaged. Another root cause of absenteeism and tardiness among Tagjaguimit

National High School students is a lack of discipline. Many students may not fully

understand the consequences of missing classes or arriving late and may not take

these issues seriously. Additionally, some students may face challenges at home or

in their personal lives that make it difficult for them to maintain a regular schedule.

Tagjaguimit National High School could implement several disciplinary measures that

help students understand the importance of attendance and punctuality. This could

include issuing warning letters or phone calls to parents when students are absent or

tardy, implementing a system of demerits or detentions for repeated offenses, or

even suspending students in extreme cases. Another potential solution is to provide

students with additional support and resources to help them overcome challenges at

home or in their personal lives. This could include counseling services, mentorship

programs, or even financial assistance to help students cover the costs of

transportation or other expenses that may be preventing them from attending school

regularly.

The root cause of absenteeism and tardiness among Tagjaguimit National High

School students is a lack of accountability. Some students may not feel that they are

responsible for their attendance or punctuality and may instead place the blame on

external factors such as family obligations. Additionally, the school could work to

educate students and their families about the importance of attendance and

punctuality, and the role that these factors play in academic success. This could

involve providing information sessions or workshops to parents and students, or

even partnering with community organizations to raise awareness about the issue.

Overall, absenteeism and tardiness are common issues that can have negative

impacts on the academic performance of Tagjaguimit National High School students.
