Introduction
The community has been stressing a lot about the inclusion of diversified groups who feel

they are not included as part of the community. This paper is a summary of the article by Karilee

and his colleagues emphasizing a lot on the need to have inclusive and affirming good healthcare

for the LGBTQIA+ group of patients. In this research paper, we will discuss the article's impact

based on how my future career practice as a nurse will be shaped.

Article Summary
In the article, the LGBTQIA+ group has many issues that they feel are not addressed. The

article highlights some of the healthcare issues and disparities which are needed. It goes on to

emphasize the needs that need understanding and addressing. According to the author, there are

barriers to LGBTQA+ healthcare, like discrimination in the community and access to some

gender-affirming care. The article also goes on to develop strategies that can be of use to create a

good, friendly healthcare environment (Bingham & Heavey, 2023).

Among the strategies they include changes in policy, inclusiveness in the cultural

competencies, and also an inclusive in the languages used. He requests that the healthcare

providers ensure the LGBTQA group receives enough care and support, which they need to

ensure they are comfortable. Finally, they conclude that healthcare firms need to play a vital role

in promoting equitable care and eliminating the disparities taking place in the group. He quotes

in the article, 'Unfortunately, a lack of trust in the healthcare system, denial of care,

discrimination, and violence discourage individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+ from seeking

treatment’(Bingham & Heavey,2023). This will eliminate the disparities which exist among the

group.
Impact of Assigned Article Content on Future Practice
From the article, I feel the article will be of significance and play a crucial role in shaping

the career of my future nursing practice. This article will help to strengthen the need for cultural

competence and also the sensitivity which comes along with ensuring there is adequate

healthcare for the LGBQTIA+ patient. Creating a culturally competent and sensitive group helps

to provide healthcare to this group. A safe environment is vital to building trust and welcoming

open communication. It will also help me to ensure I include the language which will respect that

sexual group and have policies that include all the groups (Bingham & Heavey, 2023). Among

these practices, including respecting gender identity and sexual orientation, I will also aim to

come up with competent, comprehensive, and patient-centered care for this subject group,

LGBTQIA+.

Conclusion
From the above, it is evident that the article focuses on coming up with a friendly and

equitable healthcare environment for LGBTQIA+ patients. The article emphasizes the need to

have the healthcare providers ensure they have inclusivity of the group and provide

knowledgeable and sensitive information which will be vital to the group. This article will be of

help to my future nursing career by ensuring cultural competence, and advocacy, and also

ensuring I include good communication. The only way to foster a good healthcare environment

that supports all groups there is need to improve healthcare outcomes for all groups. This will

help appreciate all the groups without being biased.
