Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,

The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Kin Song
Here we are together once again
One and all a happy bunch of men
Leave your cares and troubles for a while
Let your face break forth in smiiiiiile
Look around, grab someone by the hand
They're your friends, the finest in the
land
Now, all set, let's shout to beat the band
What do you say
Kinsmen, Kinsmen, Kinsmen.

Kinsmen Grace

Happy to meet, sorry to part

Happy to meet again
O Lord
For what we are about to receive
May we be truly thankful
Amen.

Gentlemen,

For all those who missed out on Progressive dinner, you missed on one, if not
the best Progressive Dinners ever. I can’t remember the last time everyone had a
blast like that evening. My Jello shooters didn’t last the complete bus tour and the
food was awesome. Enjoy the pic’s in this issue of the Dispatch.

I have compiled five of my best issues so far and will be submitting them to
James Doerr, our District Governor, for consideration for this year’s Bulletin
Awards.

Another reminder to start selling the “Beer for A Year” tickets. You can pick them
up from Tony.

Thank you all for the flowers and all of your condolences, in respect towards my
Grandfather, who passed away at the ripe old age of 97. Once again the family
of KIN shines like a sunny day in the Caribbean.

Thanks, enjoy and take care.

YIK
Randy

HOCKEY SCHOOL – Tim – No Report.

2008 HOUSE LOTTERY – Darren – The shingles are on. I
walked through the house, it’s coming along good. We got a
sponsorship for the windows from A & R Ross. We got 5000
dollars more off the windows than our previous deal. Bruno has
been trying to get as many sponsors as possible, we may
possibly have a sponsorship on the wood. I am talking to
Dougall Media to set up a deal with the best reach. We have been
getting positive comments on our house design. There will be
brick on the front and stucco on the sides, seeing how that was a
huge complaint last year. Ticket sales will start on July 15. I am
working on a contract to penalize the contractor and the builders
of 500 a day, if times are not met. Jay is working at the airport,
which could possibly help us with our marketing. 150,000
people a month go through the airport. Would be good for house
advertising. Jay will check into it, hopefully minimal cost.

OLD BUSINESS Jason K - Speakers comp will be on April 3rd for our club.
6
NEW BUSINESS WINDUP - Spudz – I made our reservation for Barrel Bay for
the second last weekend in June.
ANNOUNCEMENTS Mario – I have some tickets for St. Johns Ambulance to sell,
Prize is a brand new 30 foot Dayco trailer.
Todd – Sean and I went to a luncheon for Camp Quality and we
received a card signed by the kids from the camp. And a picture
to go up on the club wall.
KIN CRITIC
Tom – Nice to see a guest out, Darren ran a good
meeting, well done, it went by fast.
GOOD OF KIN Tom – I still have an 93 Buick in the back yard for sale.
Todd – Progressive Dinner was really fun this year, for those of
you who didn’t go, you should really show up next year.

NEW DISTRICT 2 WEB SITE

Kinship 2 Our Future

Governors Barb and Rob and the entire district executive are pleased to announce
the launch of a crisp new District 2 Website!

Please visit http://www.d2kin.ca to view the site!

Our District Theme this year is "Kinship 2 Our Future"

You will see by our masthead that our ship has a good anchor (to keep us all
grounded) and stars that sparkle with enthusiasm. Our Kin Ship is happy,
(looking pretty cool with the sunglasses), and offers plenty of cabins for new
members.

Included in our District goals are membership retention through education, and
growth through recruitment and charters. Communication is key: not only do we
need clear and effective communication from our District Council to our Club
members, but also from the grassroots members through our Club Presidents and
Deputy Governors.

We together will respect each other with positive attitudes, have fun, and celebrate
our many accomplishments.

Kin Ship is about to set sail, taking us to the future of our Association. Welcome
aboard!

One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me.

I was maybe 2 1/2 years old and had just recovered from an accident.

Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a get-well gift and it was one of my
favorite toys.

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought Daddy a
little cup of 'tea', which was just water

After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home.

My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of tea,
because it was 'just the cutest thing!

My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for
Daddy and she watches him drink it up.

Then she says, 'Did it ever occur to you that the only place that baby can reach to
