From 10 Key Hazards
(E.g., Chemical - Employee could be splashed with acid causing a chemical burn)
Do not stand below the red zone and mark the red zone area
with barricade/Caution tape.
Use SWA in case of anyone enter the area without
authorization.
Only certified crane operator to drive the crane.
Only certified banks man to give signals to the crane.
GRAVITY Gravity : Equipment or tools falling from the crane hook can hit someone, Personnel Ensure the crane is on flat area and land underneath is hard to
Step 2: EQUIPMENT injury, Swinging load can cause personnel injury ensure outriggers does not sink in ground SAID ZEGHIDI
Rigup Crane & Red Zone safety MACHINERY Equipment Machine Tools : Injury from handtools or crane movement to the Use of proper outriggers & base plate before lifting operations
TOOLS personnel begin
Ensure lift plan is done and crane operator is aware of the
heaviest lift.
Estimate the boom angle and maximum load during the rigup /
rigdown operations and ensure it does not exceed SWL of
crane boom.
Wear min required PPE on wellsite all times

Ensure PCE is certified as per HAL Standards & all O-rings are checked.
Setup bleed line or stuffing box to have no pressure to allow air to
escap.
Do not stand in line of fire of pressure manifold and bleed port.
Check the gauge condition and needle valves are good.
Stored Energy : Leaks from well pressure or lubricator pressure can cause injury to Increase the pressure gradually in 500 psi and hold for 5 mins before
personnel. proceeding to next pressure up to maximum working pressure or crack
Step 5: Personnel standing in line of fire open the well head Upper Master valve and see if there is any pressure
Pressure testing STORED ENERGY Improper bleed off procedure increase if not then crack open the lower master valve and let the SAID ZEGHIDI
Use of expired equipment on location can cause pressure test failure and SITHP stabilize in PCE string, confirm no leaks for 10 mins, if any leaks
personnel/equipment damages close the both master valves quickly and bleed the pressure thru bleed
port
SWA in case of any leaks and bleed to retify the lead
Do not hammer to loose or tight any connection under pressure.
Ensure bleed line is properly secured and away from wind/well head
area
Wear min required PPE on wellsite all times

Ensure the area is clearly barricated for the entire rigup lenght &
wire path upto SL unit
Follow winch operations speeds guidelines and use AA valve all the
times while POOH. Adjust AA valve every wrap as per winch FOM
Follow hand jarring guideline in case need to hand jar as per SL
operations FOM
EQUIPMENT Use tool catcher or tool trap (one of them at least in PCE stack)
Step 6:
MACHINERY Equipment : Personnel inury if cut on surface and and NPT due to fishing operation. Ensure wellhead is marked clearly with sign “DO NOT OPERATE”
SAID ZEGHIDI
RIH/POOH (Winch Operations) Do not excessive jar at same depth & if stuck SWA and consult
TOOLS town to change the position of wire in rigup by moving truck
position.
Ensure AMS is properly calibrated before RIH and tension alarms
and shutdown are set 200 lbs above normal slickline tension
during RIH/POOH
Catch the tool string in tool catcher while POOH
Wear min required PPE on wellsite all times
“Walk the line” to ensure proper rig up, fluid movements, valve alignment, equipment set up, etc. Check equipment is certified, calibrated, in operable condition, safety guards in place, pre-run checks are complete. Ensure
1 good housekeeping practices, red zones, line of fire and drop zones are effectively implemented. Check for simultaneous operations. Will your work affect theirs, will their work affect yours?
