ADJUSTMENTS
VR1 on the NLX riser card adjusts the beeper volume. Use the ATM
BEEPER test on either the S4 Diagnostic Test menu (See Chapter
4.3.11) or the Device Diagnostics/Monitor menu (Windows NT or
XP), to sound the beeper while adjusting VR1.

TROUBLESHOOTING
None

INTERNAL CABLES
Schematic diagrams of the logic cables between modules inside the
NLX PC Core are in chapter 6.2.25. This section shows pinouts of
the connectors on the riser card.

NLX RISER CARD EDGE CONNECTOR

The NLX Riser card plugs into the motherboard via a 340-way edge
connector (J11 on the NLX Compact riser and J7 on the NLX 70
Riser). This provides the connections for the PCI, ISA, Primary
IDE, Secondary IDE, flex disk, miscellaneous and front panel
signals.
The pinout of the edge connector is not given in this manual.

NOTE: Where a pin has multiple signal names (as for example, on
pin A6) this denotes the name of the signal on that pin in PCI
slot 1, slot 2, and slot 3. All PCI signals (except PCI Clocks) are
terminated with a 33 ohm resistor between the edge connector
and the first PCI slot.

MAIN POWER INTERFACE

The NLX riser cards route the +3.3 V, +5 V, +12 V, -12 V, and +5 V
supplies to the motherboard, bus slots, flex and IDE disk drives as
appropriate via 20-way Main Power connector J15.

AUX POWER INTERFACE

An auxiliary power interface is tracked on the boards but not
populated. This interface supplies ancillary functions such as,
power supply fan monitoring, fan control, 1394 power, and isolated
return path to the power supply and remote 3.3 V sense line. The
Aux Power connector position is numbered J16.

MISCELLANEOUS INTERFACE
The 10-way header connector (J12 on the NLX Compact riser and
J8 on the NLX 70 Riser) provides a connection for miscellaneous
signals. These signals are taken to the SSPA board (connector J1)
in high end systems and to the PELE Motherboard (connector JP8)
in low end systems).

NLX riser card at 40-way header connector J17. The NLX Compact
Riser also has a secondary IDE interface connector J14 which is a
40-way right angled header. The pinout of J14 is the same as that of
J17 (shown below) except that the signals are named IDEB.
