1. From the PPSTs, the Southeast Asia Teachers Competency Standards and the TEDx videos
that you viewed, what competencies does a great teacher possess?
The competencies does a great teacher possess are the following, engaging classroom
presence, value in real-world learning, exchange of best practices and a lifelong love of
learning, listening, skills in communication, exhibit proper behavior to the learning
community at all times, ought to act and behave as a person and being genuine.

2.    Are these competencies limited only to professional competencies?

3.    For a teacher to be great, is it enough to possess the professional competencies to plan a
lesson, execute a lesson plan, manage a class, assess learning, compute and report grades?
Explain your answer.
The greatness of a teacher is NOT measured to plan a lesson, execute a lesson plan,
manage a class, assess learning, compute and report grades, these are all a manifestation that a
teacher is doing his or her job, I believe it is measure by outputs which is his or her students.
Students don’t make assumptions on what they can do or cannot and when students are gaining
significant learning in real-life situation, they’ve got a great teacher.
4.    For a teacher to be great, which is more important- personal qualities or professional
competencies?
Personal qualities and professional competencies are equally important of being a
teacher, but for a teacher to be great the more important for me is personal qualities so that the
teacher can understand the needs of the students. Overall, a teacher is a complete package of
knowledge, genuine, kindness, sincerity and a lifelong love of learning.
 
5.    Who are the teachers that we remember most?
For me a teachers that we remember the most are A Teacher that helps student if they
notice a struggle, A Teacher make themselves humble before their students, A Teacher that give
a great impact in a life of a student.

Which personal traits do I possess? Not possess? Do I need improvement in?
The personal traits that I possess is Resilience so that it will help you keep going through
difficult times and help you bounce back when people try to push you down. Not to possess is
untruthful and dishonest in dealings with others. Do I need to improve in is taking responsible
for my actions.
