APPOINTMENT LETTER

Dear Mr. Bhasura Yojith Rajapaksha,

We refer to the recent interview you had with us and have pleasure in advising you that the
Board of Directors has decided to employ you as a VILLA SUPERVISOR with effect from
03rd August 2023 on the following terms and conditions:

SALARY
You will be paid a gross consolidated salary of Rupees Sixty Thousand (Rs.60,000.00) Only
inclusive of all allowances, statutory or otherwise.

Your Basic Salary will be Rupees Thirty-Five Thousand (Rs. 35,000.00), Allowance would
be Rupees Ten Thousand (Rs. 10,000.00), Attendance Allowance, Rupees Fifteen Thousand
(Rs. 15,000.00) upon performance.

The company may review your basic salary at the end of Six (06) Months or earlier and may,
at its discretion, adjust your salary at that time. In making such adjustments, the company will
consider among other factors your job performance and the Company’s financial position.

All matters concerning salaries and allowances are strictly confidential and should not be
discussed with any other employee of the Company.

SERVICE CHARGE
You will be entitled to 100% (Hundred Percent) of the Service charge of the company
payable on the 20th day of the Subsequent month.

PROBATION
You will serve a probation period of Six (6) months. In the event you wish to resign from the
company during the Probation period, given the importance of your position and the level of
responsibility granted to you by the company, you are obliged to give the company One (1)
Months’ Notice or pay the company an amount equal to One (1) Month’s salary in lieu of
notice. The company may terminate your employment during the probation period with or
without notice depending on the circumstances. The Company reserves the right to shorten or
increase the above probationary period.

The confirmation on expiry of the probationary period shall be in writing and if, confirmed in
your appointment, the termination of your employment shall be with one (1) months’ notice
or on payment of one (1) month's salary in lieu of notice. In the event you wish to resign from
the company after confirmation you will be obliged to give the company 60 (Sixty) days’
notice or pay the company a sum equal to 2 (Two) Month’s salary in Lieu of Notice.

DUTIES & TRANSFER


You will be directly responsible for all duties relevant to the role of a Villa Supervisor
attending to all Food Preparation functions, Services of, Green Fields Consultancy Services
Ltd., The Mansion Kandy Pvt Ltd, and other subsidiaries attached to Edwards Collection
(herein Referred to as ‘The company’).

Your duties will include but will not be limited to.


• Handling of all the reservations from the point of reservations
• Welcoming customers, Check- in & Check- Out of Guests.
• Ensure the property is always kept clean and tidy, including the restaurants, bar, the
lounge areas, and the rest of the guest’s public areas including back house.
• Promoting Extra Sales of F&B and others.
• Maintaining Staff grooming always at a higher level.
• Ensure All the guests' linen and utensils. clean and hygienic.
• Liaise with the kitchen staff and work closely with them.
• Maintaining All the service requirements in sufficient stocks to minimize wastage.
• Keep all the inventory records updated at any time.
• All the time you must be able to express the Cinnamon Experience to your level best.
• Assisting & cooperating with other staff grooming and stocks controlling, opening,
and closing stocks.
• Responsible for the operational cost of the entire villa.
• Maintaining high standard of personal discipline
• Responsible for applying cost effective methods when transporting used linen to or
from the laundry and housekeeping section while maintaining the quality of the
product.
• Generate BOT, KOT for All orders.
• Handling of Guests issues. Ensure the guests have no complaints or any discomfort.
During their stay.
• Always present a pleasant personality.
You will be reporting to the Director of Operations and to Group General Manager.

You will be responsible for all Culinary Functions in the luxury Hotels and Villas
owned/managed by the company. It must be appreciated that the nature of your work is such
that you may be required to travel and serve at all offices, villas and hotels belonging to the
company.

As a Villa Supervisor, you may be required to work outside normal working hours without
any entitlement of overtime, and you may also be required to travel to other subsidiaries of
the Company on a regular basis to check and coordinate with the Kitchen staff in the various
locations.

You shall not during employment and one (01) year immediately, thereafter, disturb any
business relationship between the Company and its employees, dealers, customers, suppliers,
or other business associates including companies, overseas principals, and agents.

In addition to the prohibitions set out above, you shall not engage in any trade, business,
employment, or commercial activity for money gain without the written consent of the
Directors of the Company, which approval may or may not be granted.

At all times during the continuance of your employment and thereafter you will not use either
for yourself or for others any information concerning the Company’s business affairs and
customers and/or its subsidiaries which you may have acquired in the course of your
employment.

You will not divulge to any person, firm or company any trade or other secret of the company
and/or its subsidiaries or associates or any information concerning the Company’s business
affairs and customers and/or its subsidiaries or associates which you may have acquired in the
course of your employment.

Immediately on the termination of employment or when requested by the Company


whichever is earlier, you shall deliver to the Company all records and other articles
containing or embodying confidential information within your possession or control, whether
such records, articles or information were granted to you.

In the event of breach by you of any of the foregoing stipulations or covenants it is


specifically agreed and understood that the company and/or its subsidiaries or associates shall
be entitled inter alia to obtain an injunction from the Court of Law restraining you from
committing or continuing to commit any such breach and/or to claim and recover from you

all loss, damage, cost and expense incurred or sustained by the company by reason of such
breach.

HOURS OF WORK
Normal working hours of your employment will be according to the requirement of the day.
However, you may be required by the Company to work beyond these normal working hours
as may be necessary from time to time to achieve the goals entrusted to you. You may also be
required to work in shifts as per the company’s roster.

ROSTERS
Your nature of work is such that you will be put on a Roster when the necessity arises. On
such occasions you will serve the company without any additional payment to you.

LEAVE
You will be entitled to 14 days Annual Leave and 7 days Casual Leave per annum as per the
Shop and Office Employees Act beginning at the end of the Probation period. Such leave
should be availed of in accordance with Rules and Regulations prevailing in the
Company/hotel.

EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND


It will be obligatory for you to contribute to the Employees Provident Fund and the company
will contribute at the minimum statutory rates on your behalf.

EMPLOYEES TRUST FUND


The Company will contribute to the Fund at the rate prescribed by the Government. The rate
presently prevailing is 3% of your salary.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION
The Company shall have the right to call upon you to subject yourself to a medical
examination by Doctor/Doctors of the company's choice. Your appointment will be subject to
your being pronounced medically fit. In the event of your being pronounced medically unfit,
your employment will be liable to be terminated.

TERMINATION OF SERVICE
Either party may terminate this agreement as per Terms and conditions stated under the
section Titled “Probation’. The company can terminate your services without notice if your
work is found to be unsatisfactory or your personal behaviour unacceptable under Terms and
Conditions stated under the section titled ‘Probation’.

PERSONAL DETAILS
You are required to furnish copies of the certificate of birth, educational qualifications or any
other documents required by the Company within a month from the date of assumption of
duties. If the particulars regarding the age, educational & professional qualifications etc., are
found to be incorrect at any time the appointment is liable to be terminated without notice.
AGE OF RETIREMENT
Your Age of retirement will be 55 (Fifty-Five) years and you will automatically be retired
from service on reaching the age of 55 years. No written information needs to be given in this
regard. However, the company may at its discretion renew your contract for a further period
after you reach your retirement age.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS
Any change of address must be duly notified in writing to the Company/Hotel within 7 days
thereof.

ACCEPTANCE
If you accept the appointment on these terms, outlined above please sign and return the
attached duplicate thereof.
