Title: The First Mag Aktibar Kita!: Campaigners Training for young Just Energy Transition
Advocates
Venue: High Rise Farm and Resort Zone 6 Panicuason , Naga City

Participants: LPMPC Young Farmers (LPMPC Staff and LPMPC Members)

The objective of the activity:

At the end of the discussion the participants are able to:

1. Produce young advocates who can identify and propose just energy transition polices relevant at the
local government level by analyzing their local energy policies.
2. To create a strong campaign plan based on their respective areas using the tools and techniques
shared in the 2-day training.
3. To instigate community discussion among the participants to help them integrate the intersectionality
of their chosen advocacy in the campaign planning agenda.
4. Enable the participants acquire proper training and skills in organizing and facilitating campaigns in
their respective areas to promote Just Energy Transition.

Expected output

This event is co-organized by Reboot Philippines with Oxam Philipinas and AktivAsia as part of
commitment to promoting an equitable and sustainable future for generations by supporting
individuals and organizations working for a radical social change.

The Climate and Energy in Bicol Community Discussion, led by Rebooth PH, was the first session of
the program that covered what often occurs in the Bicol Region when there is a crisis and how it is
resolved. The Rebooth Team also discussed the Bicol Region that has tremendous renewable energy
potential. With its proximity to Mayon, Iriga, and Bulusan, they’re well known for their geomethermal
energy resource. It also has a big potential for solar and wind energy that can total 2.4GW. They also
discussed some problems including remain unelectrified in some parts of region or with poor quality of
electrification, with the region only having a 78% ratio organization.
