Sustaining Programs

● Special Education serves children with emotional , behavioral, cognitive impairments or


with intellectual, hearing, vision , speech with advanced academic abilities , and children
with orthopedic neurological impairments.

The Philippines has been working on implementing various programs and initiatives to support
inclusive education. One such initiative is the “Inclusive Education for All” program, which
provides training and support to teachers, parents, and school administrators on how to best
meet the needs of all students.

The Philippines has also been working to develop policies that support inclusive education. One
such policy is the creation of Special Education (SPED) schools, which are designed specifically
for students with special needs.
Here are the following programs:

1. Establishments of 276 special education center nationwide


2. Provision of SpEd Items
3. Downloading of funds
4. Conduct of training programs for teachers handling children with various disabilities
5. Conduct of training for school heads and supervisors
6. Development of instructional materials for children with disabilities
7. Conduct of advocacy strategies like the SpEd caravan in regions and divisions without
SpEd Centers or without SpEd Programs
8. Implementation of Various intervention programs like
- Early Intervention
- Transition Program
- Head Start Program

pictures within 2 minutes
