INTRODUCTION

Mathematics is a subject that can prove to be challenging for many students. From
elementary school to higher education, mathematics struggles can arise due to a variety
of reasons. One of the reasons why students may struggle with mathematics is that they
do not have a solid foundation in the subject. Mathematics is a cumulative subject, and
students need to have a good grasp of basic concepts before moving on to more
complex topics. If students do not have a strong foundation, they may find it difficult to
keep up with the pace of the class. Students also struggle to perform well academically
in the middle of the pandemic because online class is not that effective. According to
Booms (2021) Math tutoring can help students re-learn concepts from previous classes
while retroactively aiding their understanding of new material and how it relates to
previous concepts so that they don’t fall behind in their class. So, we come up with this
service called "Problem Solved: The Answer is You" where in we tutor students using an
app platform. The purpose of this tutoring service is to help students help themselves by
assisting and guiding them. Math tutors improve confidence, improve study habits, and
can help students prepare for college by offering advanced material. In this way, as we
teach high school students, we could also benefit from this math tutoring service
because it also helps us to recall the basics of math, which is the most important thing in
learning mathematics.
