Importance of sustainable development

1. Sustainable development is essential because it ensures the welfare of both the present
and future generations by not compromising the natural resources of the earth.
Sustainable development takes into account economic, social, and environmental
concerns. The main concept of sustainable development is to preserve natural
resources, promote social equity, and mitigate climate change, fostering a greener and
resilient environment for both the present and future generations.
2. Four green buildings
- One central Park located in the heart of Sydney, it is know for its plants which
amounts to 35,000 plants. It is an application of sustainable development for
buildings to mitigate climate change and promote environmentalism.

- Vancouver Convention center located in Canada. known for its sustainable features
and technology, it has a six-face living roof and an on-site blackwater treatment
plant. The concept of design also promotes open space for a more sustainable way
to design a building.

- One angel square is located in Manchester England. The green building is know for
its natural heating, cooling and lighting. The building also promotes natural lighting
design to lessen the use of led lights.

for its sustainable design concepts for promoting green structure with a hotel in a
garden design and natural lighting.
